Show and Tell Friday At Bellamere Cottage!

A bit of the living room at Bellamere Cottage.

Also, part of my collection of tole trays..........I have LOTS of them! :-)

I am always amazed at what a little bit of paint can do to an old, yukky piece.....I'm also surprised to see how small this chest looks in these pictures. It looks so tiny......it's really not.

I bought this little number on Craig's list a while back for thirty dollars. It was NASTY. After some TLC and large glass knobs I truly love it. I bought it as an interim piece because I couldn't find something that I really loved. As everyone knows, as soon as you buy something you find the PERFECT thing......so, about a week after I had finished this I found a vintage piece that was just perfect. I may have mentioned that my garage is full??? Well, I didn't have a place to re-do another piece so I'm sticking with this one temporarily. I hope that eventually another PERFECT piece comes my way.

Can you tell the walls are a very pale blush pink? I LOVE 'em!

Not easy to see in this shot, but I filled the original holes from the pulls, added the appliques and several coats of black paint........VOILA'!!!

Ok.........here comes the original picture from the ad on Craig's List!

This is a girl who could use a makeover! :-)

The pitchers and platter are old......the vase is from Michaels.

One of my favorite lamps........a thrift store find: $15.00.

I bought the shade at Marshalls on clearance: $6.00

I LOVE these vintage pitchers. I have a "thing" for pitchers.........I only have a few of the white ironstone ones though.

Ahhhh.......those little appliques (I bought them on eBay).......and those delicious glass knobs.......(also eBay).

Sorry for the lousy shot..........

Thanks so much for coming by and seeing my Show and Tell. I so enjoy peeking around all the lovely homes in blogville........I hope you've enjoyed mine too!

More great Show and Tells............

  5. I love seeing your pictures, but I must tell you that the lamp in the last picture reminds me so much of a lamp my grandmother used to have in her home before she passed. Thanks for sharing that one and bring back a precious memory for me*! _Ashley*
