Happy Memorial Day! God Bless Our Service Men and Women! And, Thank You Kay!

We will NEVER forget..........the men and women who died to protect the freedoms we have in this country. We are so grateful to them and their families for their immense sacrifice.

I was a young adult during the Viet Nam war. It's so horrifying to remember the treatment of these troops when they came home from the war. I'm so glad that doesn't happen anymore and that we, as a country, show our gratitude to our heros.

God Bless you! And, THANK YOU!

We can't begin to express our gratitude to you.

And, to those who are family members who have lost a loved one in battle, our hearts go out to you. We are so sorry for your loss.

We'll all be having BBQ'S and picnics this weekend. We'll be spending time with family and friends. I hope everyone takes a moment to remember those who won't have their loved one to party with.........

And now.......on a totally different subject! LOOK AT THIS! How special is it? The sweet little Aussie, Kay, from took EIGHT pictures at the sea for me with both Mum and Mom written in the sand for my Memory Jar! How dear is that? I appreciate it so much and LOVE them. I can't wait to get them printed so I can add them to all my sweet memories.

Thank you Kay!

Gosh those Aussies are nice gals! I've met quite a few now and they're just wonderful!

So.......I'm sending big hugs to all you Aussie gals!........especially Kay!

Please be safe this Memorial Day weekend.

Blessings and Hugs,

Your post is a reminder to take time to be grateful for all of those who have sacrificed for us to enjoy all that we have.

  5. May you have a wonderful memorial day wekend my friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

  6. What saddens me to deeply is the Decoration Day/Memorial Day has become a long weekend to so many young people. It's a time for beer and cook outs and nothing else. Let's all of us take the time to reflect on the meaning of the day.

My father, who served in WWII, would go to the cemetery each Memorial Day to place flags on the graves of the fallen soldiers. He did that until he was 87 years old and shortly thereafter, he passed away.

God bless America and God bless our troops.

  7. Hello and Happy Memorial Day. what a lovely post you wrote, have a wonderful day.

  8. Dear Spencer,

    Lots of Love,
    And many many hugs,
    Kay xxxx
