Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful YOU! THANK YOU!

Sweet, sweet girlies...........thank you SO much for all of your kind words of comfort and encouragement.........you're just the BEST!

I am amazed that women from all over the world connect on the net and are "there" for each other....So many wrote to say they had lost their dear Mom's too......and some had lost other family members.

My heart goes out to all of you. While I understand it's all a part of life; that doesn't make loss any less painful. I'm glad we can support one another through all of life's journey.

I love you allllll!

You helped me soooo much!

God bless you all....ABUNDANTLY!!

I did just a pinch of shopping on my Mum's Birthday. I've been looking for months for a ring I could wear in her memory. Her birthstone is peridot, so I was looking for that specifically.

My sweet Mummy started buying me "real" jewelry when I was just a little girl....I know she'd LOVE this one!

I found lots of pretty things, but nothing that seemed "just perfect"....

Until...........

I found this!

Isn't that just delish????

I apologize for the crummy pix......I am just not a photographer! :-)

So, there you are........my Show and Tell Friday contribution!

I'm sure you 'd love to see more...

Just jet on over to:

You'll be glad you did!

Hugs to all!

Spence

  3. My Mama went home July 29, 2005. I do miss her so.
I think you did a great job finding a ring with her Birthstone.
After my Dad went home in 2006, just 16 months after Mama, I wanted to buy something in their memory with some money I inherited. I found the most unusual necklace. It has two circles like wedding bands and three diamonds which represent past, present and future.
    Thanks for sharing your ring,
    Mama Bear

  4. Hi Spencer. Your dear mother sounds like she was the sweetest thing ever. I love that you bought that ring in her memory. The color and the ring are stunning. I am blessed that I stilI have my mother. I learned most of my cooking skills from her and to this day I still call her to ask her how she made...so and so. Just recently after getting off the phone with her to get one of her recipes I turned to my husband and said, "you know one of these days I am not going to be able to do this any more." Maybe it has been your beautiful posts about your mother that made think about it. I don't know. But anyway, I hope to have the same beautiful memories of my mother as you do of your mother.
    Hugs, Sue

  8. LOVE your ring! My Mom didn't want a mothers ring so she got a different ring with all our birthstones. Lets just say she has quite a collection!

  9. What a pretty ring. I think it's wonderful to honor her this way. I lost my mom 13 years ago this November and on occasion I'll wear one of her rings that were passed to me.

  11. Hi Sweetie! Your ring is absolutely delish, and I think your Mom would love it, too! I have to tell you I have a very special ring I wear. It is my great grandmother's engagement ring and it is stunning. She wore it, my grandmother wore it, and my Mom wore it until she began realizing that she had some form of dementia. One time when I was visiting, I helped her finish a scrapbook for her ladies group at church. She was so thankful because she no longer possessed the faculties to finish it herself, so she said she would be back in a minute, asked my Dad if she could give me the ring, and then lovingly presented it to me. I have worn it ever since, and it is truly my most treasured possession. I'll have to share this in a blog post. It meant the world to me to receive it.

You're a great bloggy friend, Spence, and I'm so glad our paths have crossed!!

Love and big hugs to you gal!

  15. What a Beautiful ring.... My diamond is a set of 5 stones that were my grandmothers. She received it in 1919, a year before she was wed in 1920. I had the stones reset about 9 years ago to a safer setting & I cherish them....
    Lovely Post!
    Always,

  16. Spencer, What a beautiful ring! I bought a small diamond stone with a vintage band that I always wear. I also have my great grandmother ring that was passed from mom to me now. You know what I want in my home to always remind me of how important the times I spent in the kitchen with my mom were? A white or oak Hoosier cabinet. My grandmother had a gem of one my uncle took and Mom always knew how sad that made me feel. She loved it growing up! I so one day want to buy one and put it in the kitchen where I spend alot of time now, sadly without her. They were made in Indiana which is why the name Hoosier. Take care and thanks for thinking of me. Part of me wishes some of the saddest of details of her last day would just quit surfacing in my mind, but they won't. I guess its natural in a way. Love,Lori
