I know about enough to be totally dangerous so re-doing the WHOLE blog was truly an adventure for this 60 year old! YIKES! And, scary. I kept thinking I was going to lose everything. Clicking that DONE button was way too much for me. :-)
I think 'ya gotta be a spring chicken for this stuff to come easily.... but, alas it's mostly finished (I had to quit for now....my fanny just couldn't take any more sitting!) and I'm ready to blog again. Big Sigh... Finally!
Still can't figure out how to move my picture at the bottom of the blog from the left to the center.
Did finally figure out how to align your sweet bloggie buttons though. I know, probably not a big deal to most.... But really big to me!
I think I could have made a new slipcover for my sofa in the same amount of time so I think the re-do qualifies for Metamorphosis Monday.... Do you think??? :-) You'll want to pop on over and see all the wonderful changes too! It's a great party.
I'm also joining:
and.....
Thank you so much for hanging in there with me sweet girlies. I am so grateful to each of you....
Who know blogging could create so many new friendships.
Isn't it amazing?
I am AMAZED.
Have a wonderful Monday!
Lovies, Huggies and BLESSINGS!

It looks lovely. I really love your header and background. I flows..you've done a great job! I love playing with the design and coding but it's been trial and error..the only way I know how to learn. :0)
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting for Mosaic Monday...
Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie ♥
Precious one, IT LOOKS WONDERFUL! And....I have just discovered that when you download a picture while you are composing your post, just click on the picture and options for INCREASING THE SIZE COME UP! I click on XlARGE!!! Oh, this is just beautiful. I love the "Dotted Swiss" look.Remember that material? My momma made me such cute dresses out of Dotted Swiss....ahhhhhh......HAVE A GREAT DAY! Anita
ReplyDeleteSpencer it looks wonderful! love it! I have a hard time spacing paragraphs too...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't..I think it's a blogger issue, I'm always wanting to email them about it. good luck, let us know if you figure it out:)

Hi Spencer,
ReplyDeleteYour blog looks great!
hugs
Sissie
Pretty makeover. I discovered how to do mine (via Blogspot) a couple of months ago and changed it up for Xmas. Now I've changed it up again for the New Year. I'm limited with Blogspot, but it's fun seeing what can be changed. And I guess I wouldn't want to overload my 56 yr old brain with too many options!
ReplyDeleteSpencer, I love this. I am sorry I have been absent for so long. Life has been rather stressful the past couple of months with our little Hazie and I have been so concerned about her. That kind of gave me a writer's block, along with the stressfulness of the holiday season, and I just couldn't concentrate on other things very well.
ReplyDeleteBut we are finally back from Utah after over 3 weeks and I am making an effort to get back in the swing and back in touch with my favorite bloggers.
I must say Hazel is absolutely a valiant spirit and fights very well for her life when she starts down that crazy, fever-infested path. She is improving day by day now.
Back to your blog, I think the header is just beautiful and I love the wider text column, it look very professional.
You underestimate your techno abilities, you did a phenomenal job. I was touched by your post about missing your mom. Bless your heart! I just know I will always miss my mom too. Her death date was November 15th, also close to the holidays and a time when we tend to miss all of our loved ones who have passed even more than usual. I love that photo of you with your arms around your mom's neck, I can tell she got some very special care from you in her last days, and always. Such a beautiful thing to see in this crazy world of ours where many forget the importance of family. Love you, dear friend, and I hope your daughter, little guy, and your hubby will always treat you and love you the way you do them!
Take good care, Bonnie :-)
Hi Spencer! Everything looks wonderful! I love it. I'm guessing you're using the new editor. Well, I've tried it and don't like it so I'm still using the old editor and am praying they won't take it all away! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Spencer, you're using the NEW editor instead of the OLD editor. The old one is much better and not glitchy like the new one. Go to Design, click on Settings, go to the bottom and choose Old editor, click save and there you go. Most people don't know about the 2 editors and the old one is my preference. I have NO trouble with that one.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Connie
Oooh, and I DOOOO love the new look. I don't think I've ever seen gray on a blog but it looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSpencer - it looks fabulous! I know how much work all that blog redoing is! You did a great job.

ReplyDeleteWell, this is my first time, so I didn't see the "before", but your blog is beautiful. Don't you feel smart that you did it and turned out so lovely? Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteKathy
Spec, everything looks so soft, feminine and sweet just like you. Your header is like the heart of your home I'm sure of that.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I couldn't navigate blogspot or typepad for the life of me, but then I've never tried : ) I'm a MAC girl remember?
Sending warm hugs your way.

You did a great job and it really does take some faith to hit done, doesn't it...lol.....Happy Blue Monday
ReplyDeleteLove your new blog look! Very sweet! I've learned with some trial and error about centering photos... but what works for me is either adding borders that match page background or for the sidebar, enlarging the photo first to about a 3 and 1/2" width and unchecking the box on the add gadget that says "shrink to fit".
ReplyDeleteI'll email you, your photo at the bottom of your page with the borders on it for you to try if you'd like.
Have a wonderful day!
Sherri:)
P.S. I clicked on you Master bedroom photo for a looksee and it wasn't working...

I think we 60 somethings are pretty resilient folks. I've got a couple of blogs, one needs a redo and I've also been afraid. Thanks for the inspiration.
