Oh my goodness.......... Most of you probably already know one of the sweetest Chickies in Bloggyville.... Anita, of Castles, Crowns and Cottages........ BUT, just in case you don't... this is your lucky day. Not only is she a dear and encouraging girlie, and totally charming too.....she adores all things FRENCH. So much so, in fact, that she is a French Immersion Teacher by day. :-) That is, of course, unless she's off walking the streets of PARIS.
And, today she's gathering all the Frenchophiles of Bloggyville to come to her Paris: Simply Irresistible Party.
Now..... I'm a chickie who has NEVER been to Paris........or anywhere in Europe, for that matter. But, I do love it from afar.
I actually own very little in the French department, but I couldn't miss this party..... Anita is giving away one of her perfectly perfect bits of art to one of the contributors. Well, that had me at "hello"... :-)
So, here I am with my meager offering.

Lots of vintage ephemera. A few pieces are my own, but most of them were snaggged from the Graphics Fairy.
I'm sure most of you know Karen, but if you don't.........you'll want to pop on over to see her too. She is so generous and always has lovely, vintage images to share. You will love her.
Other images I've found over the years on flickr or other photo sharing sites.

ReplyDeleteHugs,
What a great little girly getaway that was...strolling through the streets of Paris, arm in arm with friends OLD and NEW. I too have never been to France, but still swoon with daydreams of this romantic land. What a beautiful collection of artful images...Bon Dimanche ... Rosie
ReplyDeleteBonjour Spencer
ReplyDeleteYour post is a beautiful addition to the Paris party given by dear Anita.. Lovely images, but my favorite? Your grandson.. What a sweetheart!
Thank you for your most welcome visit and kind words.
Blessings,

Dear Spencer (love that name), this was a charming post and reveals that "Paris" is as much a state of mind as a place. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting old Rattus and Tea. They do carry on from time to time but they more loyal friends you'll never know.
Three cheers, and hoot and a rrrr.
Ruben
Hello Spencer, and thank you for stopping by to visit me. Love the graphics you've found, and the pic of the French Quarter. Turn that into sepia and it could be right out of Paris circa 1920's... looks like Hemingway sitting there in front.
ReplyDeleteOh la la! What a lovely trip of the best kind~ free! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to Wayfaring Wednesday.
