Happy Monday Dear Chickies!
Hope you had a grand weekend.. :-)
I went to coffee Saturday morning with some girls I graduated with........I'm telling 'ya.....it's been a bloody long time since I donned the cap and gown. FORTY FOUR years to be exact! I haven't seen these girls (other than a couple of reunions) since then. So, we last saw each others as teenagers with our lives ahead of us........and now??? We're SENIOR citizens. How on earth did that happen? :-) I had such a good time chatting with them... it really was fun and I'm so glad I went.
We had our friends to dinner on Saturday night.......grilled chicken sliders, coleslaw and baked beans. It was pretty darn good considering I don't consider myself a real whiz in the kitchen. (NOTE: understatement).
The Pup?
Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle......now eight years old and still a pistol. I'm not kidding. She still zips around like she's a puppy.
She's waiting for my husband. He gets home every day about six......and she starts waiting about five. How do they know what time it is?
She either looks out this door or stares at the crack in the door to the garage.
Sometimes she waits so long she has to take a little rest..........yes, that is one ugly rug, but I got two of them for free with my fifteen dollar Penney's coupon and their big sale......so they'll just have to do. They don't last long......she likes to make herself comfy while she waits and tears the darn things up..........
Wishing you a wonderful week. I''m really going to try to be a better blogger. There's been so much going on..........I have pictures of things from months ago to post.
I'm on it.
xoxoxoxo

Glad to see a post from you. I have not been much into the blog lately either. Summer is a busy time and I am always amazed at those that keep up the constant bogging :>)
ReplyDeleteHi Spencer! Oh, I am so glad to hear you had such a great time with your olden school mates! :) Your dinner sounds wonderful too. Oh, your little fuzzy face. I love these snaps. My Chloe Dawn does the same thing, well, she did before my husband retired. She knew just about the time he was supposed to come home and she would plant herself in the dining room window and wait. :) Aren't they just adorable.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
I have two little pups just like that only bigger....english bulldogs. Boy are they fun and full of it. She is beautiful. Enjoy...smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteLooks like she really loves her "daddy." Very sweet. I'm sure that makes him feel special.
ReplyDeleteWhat cute photos of your dog waiting. What breed is she? Our dog does that too and she is going on 13. She is a lot slower these days though poor old girl. She is part Australian Cattle dog and part beagle.
