It's not that I'm a DREAM in the kitchen, but these little guys were a TOTAL disaster. Whew....They turned out to be barely chocolate flavored, dry, little cardboard balls........mmmmmmmmmm.............not so good. And, I confess, I dug into my garbage to retrieve this little buggers so I could share them with you. Now, don't 'ya just feel so darn lucky? Your day's been made, right?
I gave up sugar six weeks ago. WOW! Good for me. I didn't have any sugar at all for five years and it seemed things were ever so much easier in the control department, until one day.........I .........mmmmmmmmmm..........slipped. That's been a LONNNNNG time ago. Being in that same darn situation again, I determined it would again be my course of action. So I began. FOUR whole weeks without ONE SINGLE refined carb. YOWZA! I can't believe I did it.
Another three weeks go by and I'm thinking.......surely I can make a nice little sugar free cookie? I had a recipe from Prevention for a non-fat cookie and thought I could simply replace the sugar with Splenda.......and now we have little, dry, yukky balls.........Disappointing, that's for sure.
I am soooooooo in need of assistance.... hopefully, someone out there has a nice little cookie recipe sweetened with applesauce.........or PRUNES??? SOMETHING????
These little delights nearly drove me to a nice little Pink cookie... :-)
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your visits and kind comments on my blog. I'm having a wonderful time getting to know you. I love your creativity and I've gotten so much from coming to visit all of you. I keep thinking I've found the best of the best now and I find more and more every day! There are, indeed, lots of wonderful ladies out there.
God Bless ALLLLL of You.
In gratitude,
Spencer

I sure hope someone shares a great sugar free recipe - I want one! Hubby can't have sugar and I miss baking.
ReplyDeleteSpencer...I understand about the sugar. I can't tolerate it because it gives me migraines. Isn't it the pits? Ha.
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to get to know you. You have a lovely blog and we are definitely 'Bella' girls!
Hugs right back to you!

I'm interested in seeing what others come up with too. It's always a great idea to cut out sugar when you can.
ReplyDeleteI did wonder - can you have honey?
((((hugs))))
Rhonda
