Oh my....it's been quite a week here at Bellamere Cottage for this ol' gal....
Cough: Check
Sore throat: Check
Earache: Check
Headache: Check
Upset tummy: Check
Pink Eye: Check
Aches and Pains: Check
Sooooooooo........Swine flu? Nope......Strep Throat? Nope.........Pneumonia? Nope.
Seems a gal can get really.........REALLY sick with a simple virus.
Of course you'll need to spend the ENTIRE day in the ER to find that out.
Whew........I sooooo appreciate the wonderful care I received from caring and dear nurses and a GREAT doctor, but they just don't do anything quickly, do they?
That's ok........it was all good news........except the pink eye. I have to throw out every single eye product.........now, to me .......that's. a. disaster.
But I'll live.
So, if you're a nurse, or a doctor, MA........PA......or whatever medical title you've achieved, this gal says thanks! I appreciate you. And, I survived the longgggggg wait. :-)
So, that's what I've been doing since last Sunday.........feeling crummy.
First the antibiotics..........finally on Wednesday........
Only getting worse so the Dr. sent sickie Spencer to the ER.
Alllllllllll day on Friday at the ER.
Antibiotics, unfinished. Pitch them and use the eyedrops.
I'm on it.
I am sending big hugs to all of you. Saying I'm sorry *yet again* for not visiting......and letting you know I'll be back when I AM in the pink.
If you'd really enjoy some GREAT pinks, be sure to visit Beverly over at www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com
She's awesome. And, I'm green with envy about her wonderful new craft room!
Huggies and Lovies little sweeties..........
Gotta go cough now........
Spencer

Spencer, Glad you have recovered and sorry you had such a bad time....the pink eye, I haven't heard of that in humans in a long time, but my goats had it about 1-2 years ago and boy what an ordeal to treat them every day.
ReplyDeleteDrop in and visist.
Barbara
Oh my! Sounds like you and I had the same kind of day! My day consisted of an endless wait at the dentist's office that finally culminated in an enthusiastic drilling off of what felt like half of my face. Hope you get to feeling better soon. ;)
ReplyDeleteawww... spencer, feel better really soon, that sounds dreadful! Happy PS anyways. I don't have a post up but am just stopping by to say hi.
ReplyDeleteLinda
PS...that is neat your relatives are all over Hawaii...I was married there and my kids born there...then we came back as it got too expensive to stay...I miss it dreadfully...
Oh, Spencer! Pink eye is bad enough on it's own! I pray God comforts you as you heal up! ♥
ReplyDeleteMy dearest, I know the feeling of this icky stuff! Being a teacher I've had it all! Oh dear love bug, try to amble on over to my theatre today and let M. Balzac give you a dose of humor; after that, take a sip of champagne, nibble on some hor d'oeuvres (calorie free) on the terrace of my French villa and no longer feel the pain! We will wait for you. Take good care, Anita
ReplyDeleteSpencer, I know that wait in the ER can be long, especially when you don't feel good and want nothing more than to be home!! Viruses can be tricky little devils! Here's to a fast recovery for the pink eye and all the other aches and pains you are feeling. Rest easy this weekend....blogland can wait.
ReplyDeleteOh Spencer, I am so sorry you have been so sick. I am dreading this up and coming cold and flu season. There are some nasty bugs going around right now. I am especially concerned because I take public transportation to work and I have been under some major stress at work lately. Deadlines and all.
ReplyDeleteJust take it easy!
Many "hope you get better soon" hugs. ~Sue

ReplyDeleteOh Spencer honey. I am so sorry your are not feeling well. Here is a tissue, a little bowl of soup, and a cheery hello to make you feel better. Please take care, and let the virus run its course and move on it's way. We want you back and feeling better soon. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry
ReplyDeleteI am BLUE that you are not in the PINK of things. Try to get some rest, but take a look at all the roosters out there at Bella Vista's party, and you might turn GREEN with envy over all those gorgeous fine feathered friends. I did, for sure. *big smile*

ReplyDeleteRegarding your previous PINK post . . .
ReplyDeleteEverything you touch becomes ADORABLE! The touches of pink in the kitchen are so Spencer-a-licious! And your backsplash is a wonderful backdrop for it all!
I've lived with circa 1960's laminate countertop for 26 years, but St. Michael just finished tiling it for me, and I am over the moon! When I finally finish painting the cabinet doors, I'll post pics!
Now, get to feeling better ASAP!
XO! Pamm
