That's a clue.........I'm totally unprepared.....not that that hasn't ever happened before, huh?
So, we'll just have a little oddball collection of pinks.........hope this will pass! :-)
First up? Oh yes......that is THE cutest PINK of all....my little baby girl when she was only three months old.....where have the 38 years gone?.....Hmmmmmmm.......sounds like a theme here....so.........

What I wanted to show you is the backsplash.....Hey, I'll do ANYTHING with paint....the island top, the entry floor and faux tile for my backsplash. I actually did the same thing in the kitchen in our old house. So easy and I don't think it even cost five dollars. My kind of fix-up!
I just used the paint that was there as the "grout". Then, using a square of cardboard, drew all the lines, covered them with basting tape from the fabric store and sponged the color on the remaining area, removed the tape............voila! Tile. Not perfect, but it works for a temporary solution.....And, it's a heck of a lot cuter than white walls.

I loved it all, but those glasses? They're FABULOUS! I was so tickled.
Thank you so much Linda!
It made my day.
Thank you so much for coming and for muddling through my ramblings.
Oh yes, I can drone on.
God bless you all!
Have a Fabulous weekend.
Huggies and Lovies,
Spencer
Oh my gosh....I'm so sorry....I forgot to mention the wonderful Beverly, who hosts this great event....

Good morning, Spencer. No matter how simple you say something is, it's always just perfect. I like how you have taken a plain wall and turned it into tiles- but then it was your island that first sparked my interest in your site! what a cute baby dressed in pink- oh where have the years gone, huh?
ReplyDeleteBTW, you'll find another teapot along the way- and you may like it more than the one you passed up... Have a good weekend, it's going to be another beautiful almost fall day here!

ReplyDeleteHi Spencer!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post. Just wonderful. I so love the teapot. I can't believe you didn't snag it. I hate it when I question myself, and then later wish I had just bought it. I have to ask about Ruby Mae,is she a little Boston Terrier? I have a Boston Terrier named Bruiser, I call him Handsome, but he is posted on my scrollbar on my blog. I just love him. He is 6 years old. Lovely post as always. Please stop by and say hi. I love it when you visit. Country hugs, Sherry

ReplyDeleteSo sorry that I am getting to you a day late and a dollar short for Pink Saturday. Seems like the day just got away from me.
ReplyDeleteThe sun was out in the afternoon and all day today, so with all the rain we've had, I went outside to play.

Hi Spencer....beautiful baby picture of the daughter..loved the milk glass glasses you got in a giveaway...they look fabulous...
ReplyDeleteNice pink post. You have us all fooled because your post looks like you put a lot of thought into it. =) I loved all of your pink stuff. I agree....you should have picked up that pink tea pot! But I'm like you to. The price has to also be right for the item I'm purchasing. Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteSpencer, that picture of your bright eyed little girl is absolutely adorable. Your backsplash could have fooled me-you clever lady. Congratulations on a wonderful prize-you lucky lady! But, I am sorry you didn't purchase that pretty pink teapot. laurie
ReplyDeleteSpencer,
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your daughter, she is close to the age of my daughter. Thank you for the info on the Bellemere Cottage sign. I still have not found a board and it will be awhile. I had foot surgery and have an angel of a husband pushing me around in a wheelchair. I know what you went through. Love your blog and look forward to reading it each day. You have such a talent.
Blessings, Sandy
The picture of your daughter is very sweet. I liked all your pink things. And your playlist is great - I really enjoyed Dean Martin singing Sway - we have very similar taste in music. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Spencer! Sorry I'm just now getting back to you about the Garlic Fest. I've been seeing signs all over for it. I haven't decided if I'll be going or not. I have to babysit my nephew all weekend so it might depend upon his little two year old mood. Are you planning to go? I'd stay away from that deep fried garlic for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteSpencer... just thought I'd drop by... I'm back from my nearly 2-week vacation in California... it was beautiful! Next time, Ricky says, "let's go further north... maybe Oregon or Washington State"... We loved the cool temps and the lush green... but happy to be home in hot and dry south TX~ we must be nuts!
