Oh My GOODNESS!

Hi Sweet Girlies!

ARE YOU HOT???

Hey, I live in the Pacific Northwest.... It's just NOT normal to be this hot here.

See that SEVERE WEATHER ALERT??

I have been ROASTING!

It's 102 in the shade at my house.

What's the temperature where you chickies are???

My silly hubbs was outside planting hydrangeas for the little woman today. I had to go get him and MAKE him come into the cool house. Fortunately we do have A/C, but I must say it's having a tough time keeping up with the heat.

I have to apologize, yet again, for my lousy blogging.

So much going on here. Isn't there always?

A four year old boy bit my grandson. No, I mean he REALLY bit him.

Poor kid. He has a big 'ol hole in his arm and a nasty bruise.

I have some very UNKIND things to say about this nasty little biter, but I'll keep my mouth shut.

I'm a grandma.... I can be irritated.

He also had FOUR teeth pulled in preparation for braces. Boy, kids heal quickly. He was doing great by the afternoon and hasn't complained about pain at all. NO pain meds either.

I took said grandson to a local little fair on Friday..... we had such a good time and saw lots and lots of animals. Right now he's pitching chickens to his mom. We'll see how that goes. Right now he has a dog, fish, Guinea pig and birds. I don't see him giving up on the chickens. He's pretty darn persistent.

He'll be back at school soon and I'll be able to return to my regular blogging, which should be much less sporadic than it has been for the past few months.

My daughter and I did well at our garage sale and were so happy to be finished with it.

Then...........that sweet little daughter came up with a hot idea....and I do mean HOT!

She thought, since we already had everything all set up, we should do it again so we could get rid of more stuff.....So, we made more signs and did it again yesterday....dandy idea. But it was HOT.... We finally had to close up about two..........and we only made a tiny bit of money anyway. Everyone was trying to find a cool place to be and it wasn't her garage.

There you have it........the update from Bellamere Cottage.

Holy MOLY! I have lots and lots of followers now. I am soooo grateful to you sweet chickies who actually think I have something to say....Bloggie girlies and the BEST!

I see a giveaway coming up soon.

We must celebrate!

Stay cool little cuties!

Love you!

PS........I hope ANY of this made sense.... I'm feeling wacky today.

  2. That sounds like the heat wave we had here about a month ago, Spencer; unless it is another one making its way across the nation. The humidity has been so bad this year on Long Island. I remember snow storm after snow storm wishing for Summer to come and it has really not been any better. My car just doesn't slide around the roadway!

  3. Spencer everything madde perfect sense to me...but then, I'm a little wacky myself today. maybe it's the heat. We'll blame it on that anyway. I am secretly hoping that your little grandson wins this one with the chickens.hehe! Just think how exciting it would be to eat his breakfast knowing right where it came from!
I hope you get some relief from the heat soon. It hasn't been bad here until today It reached 91 today.
    Hugs to you sweetie...

  4. Been missing you Cupcake!! You sure do have a heat wave gal!! It isn't even that hot here in Florida!! Be sure to stay cool where it's cool. When you're not used to it, you can get to feeling pretty yucky!

Can't believe that about the BITER! Was anything done about it?

Hope you have a wonderful week, my friend!
Fall will be there before you know it, and you will cool off!
    Love you,
    Becky

  6. Good morning, sweet thang!!!:)

Oh, we had a stretch of 90 degree days, but yesterday, I have to say, was the most PERFECT DAY. Around 75 tops, we headed out early to walk around the lakes and the sky was blue with lots of clouds, a gentle breeze and dry perfect weather. But we have had lots of rain at night, which is good, but my basil has drowned from so much water!!!!

Oh sweet gal, take it easy out there...the extreme heat is worst to me that extreme cold. At least you can drink lots of tea, bundle up and move about. But the heat, even moving around cleaning the house can be hazardous!!!!

Much love to you sweet one, Anita

  8. Hey, this was so sweet. It is winter in Australia and it's a perfect 25degrees celsius. But our summers...phew! Hope it's cooled down for you now and that the hydrangeas survived..:)

  9. Thank for visiting my blog! I'm excited to start following your's! :) I've read Jackie & Bobby also. I didn't know anything about the "affair", but it does make some sense. Such an interesting family, but such tragedy!

I hope its cooled down there. it was here...a bit! I can do the 90s when I'm on a vacation, but when I have things to do, its awful!

    Have a great week!

  10. Well, here in Southern California in the Inland Empire it has been near 100 degree's all week long and no promise for anything cooler in the near future..but at least it hasn't been over 100, and for that I am grateful.

Right now the ceiling far is going full blast with both the front and back doors open and a stiff cool breeze blowing through...so nice..but not for long.

Soon Fall will be here so take heart! :)
Stay cool, my friend...in all ways! :)
    Hugs,
    Mona

  11. Spencer...

I just had to come by and add a PS to the comment you left on my blog.

I feel the exact same way about the song... I love it so much but it is difficult for me to sing. It is God-anointed in my opinion and I believe it's purpose is to do exactly what it does. It opens me up when I hear the first note and everything I am and ever hope to be comes spilling out from within...

    I've been missing you....

    Love to you~

  12. Hi Spencer
Heat, humidity? TIRED of it!!! I heard we had 38 above normal temp days this summer. For us, our highest electric bills in 27 years, air is running everyday! I hope we have a delicously somewhat cool Autumn and it last a little longer then usual! I'm ready for it! Take care, keep cool, Lori

  13. Yes, we had that heat wave also. I'm so glad today was in the 70's. It's nice to get the warm weather then it's nice when we get the fall weather. I think there's probably one heat spell left this summer :(

    Your poor grandson!

  14. I am enjoying wonderful weather here in SW Ohio, Spencer. Mid-70's during the day, mid 50's at night. I am lovin' this "fall" weather and even started decorating for it. I know its a bit of a rush, but I couldn't help myself. LOL It has been hot all summer here, with high humidity, so this beautiful bout of nice weather is a welcome relief. Try to stay cool and comfy. :-)
    hugs, Sue
