Happy Saturday Sweet Chickies!

Popping in to say a little hello to you dear ones.

Things are still really busy, but I wanted to thank you for your prayers. You coul

My girl is just about back to normal and feeling pretty darn good.

The pain has leveled off and she's got her spunk back.

Thank you Jesus. :-)

Next surgery: The hubbs.... Friday.

He has a torn rotator cuff. YIKES. Now, this fella NEVER complains about ANYTHING. He's super duper healthy and has a pain threshold that most of us can only WISH for.....but this shoulder thing has him hurtin'. He's a bike rider and tennis player so this is really cramping his style..... That, and he has a pain in his hip. Good gravy....you think that's enough...??? NOPE.... he passed a kidney stone a few days ago too.

All this from the non-complainin' fella.

Poor baby.

Going to need a LOT of TLC.

I'm popping in as I can....trying to return your sweet notes.

Gosh I know a LOT of wonderful peeps.

Huggies to all.

  1. So happy that your daughter is doing great. I knew she would. Sometimes when it rains it pours. Tell your hubby to hang in there.

  2. You certainly have a lot on your plate, Spencer. I hope your husband has a good result from his surgery. My sister had the same thing and was out of work for 10 days. I will be thinking of you!

  5. Goodness, your family is having a lot of health issues right now. The bright side, you'll have all this out of the way before Christmas. I hope hubby heals quickly (yes, my husband thought he was dying when he passed one a year ago) and I'm so happy your daughter is feeling better.

  7. Hi Spencer,

Thank you for your lovely comment on Modern Country Style. It made me smile. I love that word: delish.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. Surgery? *gulp* That sounds serious. I hope it all goes really smoothly and that you're able to keep cool through it all.

  8. SPENCER MY PRECIOUS! I am sooooo happy to hear that your daughter is back up to snuff! BUT THE MR., what in the world? It all comes down at the same time....well, you are just gonna have to dish out the lovin' and the care with which you operate so beautifully....but take care of YOURSELF in the process! The hips, huh? My hips are hurting me lately, and I don't know why. Hmmmmmm. It's that over fifty thing, I guess! Oh do say hello to your husband and PLEASE TELL HIM WE ARE PRAYING!!! BISOUS, Anita

  13. Awwwww Spencer, I'm sorry your hubby is having health issues now. What a bummer! I can certainly empathize with his shoulder problem. A couple years ago, just one of the tendons of my rotator cuff was partially torn from a bone spur and I'm here to tell you it was unbelievably painful. I could barely move my arm for weeks. I can't even imagine the pain associated with the whole rotator cuff being torn. Ouch. Fortunately, I didn't need surgery (although that might have been a quicker fix). An ice pack became my constant and best friend for more than a month and some acupuncture helped considerably too but it was still well over a year before I got full range of motion back in that arm. Now I have a feeling I'm developing the same problem in the opposite shoulder so I'm really trying to baby it as much as I can. Best wishes to your hubby for a speedy recovery.
