Dang.... My BEEE.U.TI.FUL Day Went Totally South!

I loved my Mum sooooo very much and when she passed away I wanted to buy a special piece of jewelry to wear in her honor.

I searched and I searched and I SEARCHED....over a year.

I probably bought about five items, brought them home....looked at them for a few days and took them back.

Finally, I found the perfect cross. My Mum always wore a white gold cross, so this would be just perfect...... and, as a Christian, something I would love to have.

I AM Tightwad Tilly and this was a big decision. I don't spend money wildly....

I lost it today.

I didn't even realize it was gone until I was putting on my jammies.

The chain was in my bra...........the cross............gone.

I am totally heartsick.

I realize it's just a material thing....but it makes me sick. I HATE losing anything.

I retraced my steps and wrote down all my stops today so I can call everyone in the morning.

I've had the flashlight out searching the house over and over.

It's dark, but I checked my car the best I could.

I'm saying a prayer.

Would you too?

I'm just hoping that a sweet and totally honest person turned it in.

Sadly,

Spencer

xoxoxoxo

PS.... that's not a photo of my cross, but mine was just like this one.....

Gotta go cry.

  14. My sister lost her wedding ring and couldn't find it for two years and prayed for it to reappear the whole time. Then one day she was cleaning out her closet and found it in a box. The miracle is that she never put it there. So don't give up hope.

  16. Oh, I am so, so sorry. Please ask my guardian angel to help you find it ... she's amazing at finding this. Ask Elizabeth to help. Sending prayers. This has nothing to do with materials, but much deeper then this and I pray this is found.

  19. How upsetting. :( I'm so, so sorry Spencer. Here's hoping it turns up somewhere in your own home, maybe between the sofa cushions or something, or some kind soul finds it and contacts you.

  20. I'm so heart-sick for you! I HATE it when I lose things so I've decided they're not really lost... I've just temporarily reassigned it to an unknown location. I'm sending all my Hopes your way!

  21. Oh Cupcake, Several years ago I also lost a treasured cross with diamonds...a very special gift from my hubby. I never got another one. It wouldn't have held the same meaning for me.

I also lost a special Tigger watch my Mom had bought me for my birthday. I treasured it so, and couldn't believe it was four states away!

I am praying that the Lord leads you right to it. He has done that for me with so many things...though for some reason not with these two.

Praying also His peace and healing for your heart. I know that ache...
    Love you bunches,
    Becky

  23. Spencie, thanks for stopping by my blog. I am sorry I have been so remiss in blogging, especially visiting this past few months. I am just trying to find my balance now that Jim is retired. I just cannot be on the computer as much as I have been the last couple of years. But I am working on it. Know that I am always thinking of you and my few other blogging sisters.

    Love you, Bonnie

PS: I'm enjoying the rest of your beautiful blog! I love where you got the name for it...from your English Books....they DO always seem to name their homes, not matter how small. :-) Happy Spring from Houston,TX

  26. Spencer, I'm hoping that you find your precious cross. Can you retrace your steps to the store and see if someone might have turned it in if it fell off your neck?

If I knew where to find another, I would buy it for you, sweet friend. I'm so sorry you lost this treasured posession. Please let us know if you do happen to find it.

I loved our phone call, and I now know what my Spence sounds like on the tele! LOL! You are adorable, and I love you bunches.

  29. Hi there,
I lost my mother on June 1st three years ago. My dad passed way two months after my mom. The first Mother's Day that I walked passed the mother's day cards at the Hallmark shop, I cried and cried. No mom to give a card to-----on Father's Day, no Dad to give a card to. It has been a journey which I know you understand. On the first Mother's Day, my sweet husband bought me a small cancer ribbon diamond necklace... a tribute to my mother on mother's day and to mark my first mother's day without my mom. If I lost it, I would be soooooo sad and I would search the world over to try to find it. I am praying that your cross turns up and that someone turns it in. In fact, I'll light a candle that you find it today. (((hugs))) Kim

  30. Yes I'll say a little prayer for you. I lost my original wedding ring. The feeling isn't good when something so precious is suddenly and inexplicably gone.

  31. Spencer,
Marshall and I will say a prayer for you. I know how you feel dear, I lost something very special myself years ago and it made me so sick that I cried for days. My dad sat me down and said, "don't cry over something that can't cry over you." Many days later I understood what he meant. I only prayed that who ever found my grandmother's opal cross would need it much more than I did. That made me feel better.
