Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Sweet Chickies!

My Mummy's gone to be with Jesus....I miss her soooo much. How I'd love to just sit and have a cup of tea with her. She was the sweetest little thing.

Years ago I found a little vintage motto that I framed and gave to her. It's super tiny, so I couldn't take a photo of it.... But, it says.........

Dear little, sweet little, kind little Mother.
Sharing my troubles and drying my tears.
Smiling and hoping and dreaming and loving.
Holding me close to her all through the years.
Climbing the heights with me, giving me courage.
Walking the valleys, so close to my side.
Always so loyal, though others may waver.
Trusting, believing, whatever betide;
Bright is her smile like the gold of the sunshine,
Warming and cheering my heart like no other-
Blessings surround her, and joy light her pathway.
Dear little, sweet little, kind little Mother.

Perfect for my Mum....

So precious to me.

And, this..........from the internet yesterday....

If flowers grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me....... place them in my Mum's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and held her for awhile.

Missing you Mum.

Love,
Me

  2. The poem you gave your sweet mom is precious. No doubt it gave her great joy to know that your sentiments were there - though penned by someone else. I'm sure you miss her very much. But what a blessing to know that she now resides with Jesus! ;)

    Have a blessed day!
