Happy Flea Finds

Oh my goodness.......I've been trying to get a minute to post these great finds and am finally ON IT.... But, in the meantime I've found lots more, so I'll be posting those soon too.

Oh how I LOVE thriftin'.... it really is about the thrill of the hunt, isn't it?

Loved this little chalkware girlie. Isn't she just the cutest darn thing?

I don't often post about my finds.........I race home and wash everything and put it all away... then I can't remember what I bought so I can do a nice little post on it.

Well, this new girlie? She's still in the closet. Ooops. :-)

I'm trying to get fired up to Spring Clean. I had promised myself that I'd start right after Christmas, but it seems something just keeps coming up and I haven't washed a single thing. That's when I like to haul out the new/old finds and give everything a little face-lift.

I needed more fabric like I needed the proverbial hole in the head, but how could I pass this up? It's a king size duvet of the yummiest fabric ever. Very similar to vintage barkcloth. I don't have a use for it right now, but I'm tucking it away for a project somewhere down the line.

Wooohooo! Just lookie at all that fun goodness. Can you see that cute little white milkglass lamp stuck in the middle there? It will be getting a new shade after a little bit of re-wiring work.

And, the piece of linen in the front? It's a runner.......in perfect condition and just delicious.

Had I posted this right after I took the pictures I'd still have remembered the prices. However, I've shopped way too much since then and can't most of them....it all sort of ran together, but they were all DEALS.

Plates. Hmmmm... I'm going to have to start hiding them when I bring new ones home. I still have an entire closet full of back stock and don't need another one, but when they're in really good condition and so pretty.......can't pass them up. It's just that the Hubbs grunts and rolls his eyes when he sees the Goodwill bags roll in.

And, a cute little potholder too. I have a ton of them. I have a plan for them. I can't wait to share.......don't be sittin' here waiting though.......I'm not too quick about these things.

*wink*

And, the YUMMIEST wool blanket. It has some fading, but I loved it and it was only 15 dollars. Whooopeee!

Don't have a clue what I'll do with it, but I'm certain I'll think of something.

My darling little grandson found this little lovely for me. Isn't it great? Nope, it no longer works, but I love it and have wanted one for a long time. And..... drum roll please........it was only a dollar!

Three great baskets. I have some plans for these that will include pretty new dresses for them. I should be in the studio working on them right this minute, but alas.......here I am... Not much progress going on, is there?

The cutest little baby hat and a great old, leather frame.

A white milkglass dish.

A creamer and a gent I don't know....

Don'tchajustlove thriftin'? I find so many great items.......and save so much money. Not only that, but where else can you get a great assortment of things from all over the world?

I'm always envious of other bloggie chickies.... So many of you live in places with great shopping spots. There just isn't much here so I'm pleased to find as much as I do.

Are you a thrifter? What's your favorite "find"?

Huggies and lovies!

PS... got the new tires. Big O really worked a deal for me too. I'm so pleased. They didn't replace the tires for free, but they really stepped up and gave me an unbelievable deal.

Now I have to get the washing machine repair man over here. Danged if my Whirlpool Duet Washer didn't poop out. I spent hours yesterday baling water after running cycles trying to get the thing to re-set. Mr. Appliance repair thinks it probably the pump.

Please don't remind me that these kinds of things run in threes.
