Are you having a great weekend?
I'm catching up on a few little projects and waiting for the refrigerator repair dude. Why do they tell you noon when it's really going to be about six pm? Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
I could have taken some photos today, while the sun is shining...... it's been pretty dark and dreary here.
I've shown pictures before of my little metal cabinet that sits right next to the fridge? Yeah, well.......it's FULL of extra dishes and serving bits. They are all over the table now so that I could empty the darn thing out and move it. Seems when you have a really cute PINK metal cabinet next to the fridge and said fridge leaks it causes a reaction........RUST. Thank goodness for my go to Whink Rust Remover.... That stuff is MAGIC.
Oooops, that was a slight detour... I'm like that. My BESTEST friend and I talked on the phone a little bit ago..... my phone has a timer..... TWO HOURS AND 58 MINUTES. Seriously, who can talk that long? I just listened. Seriously. Ok.........lying.
What I really wanted to share with you is this FAB.U.LOUS recipe for laundry soap.
I don't really know if it saves any money, but it's by FAR the best laundry soap I've EVAH used. The laundry is so soft and fluffy and smells DEEEE.LISH.
I have a front loader and I've used this potion for about a year with no ill effects. It really doesn't suds up....and I really wouldn't care if soap was pouring out the front of the darn washer..............ala I Love Lucy............just to have laundry this great. Just kidding, really.
It's as simple as can be.....
3 bars of Fels Naptha bar Laundry Soap (grated)
1 box (about 4#) of 20 Mule Team Borax
1 box (again, about 4#) of Arm and Hammer Baking Soda
1 box (4#, or so) of Arm and Hammer Washing Soda
and about three-four big scoops of Oxy-Clean
That's it!
Easy Peasy.
Stir it all together and put it into an airtight container.
I use about 1/2 c. per load and I get really clean and bright laundry.
For a top loader you might need more, not too sure about that.
****I only use this potion on white/light laundry.... I switched to liquid detergent a long time ago for dark laundry. ............it always left a whitish residue.... ****
Have a great weekend....
I have all the bits ready for my giveaway!
I'm going to join White Wednesday next week.... (that's a little clue).... so y'all come on back........... hear?
xoxoxo
