Dodi's Yummy Peeee-Cans......Mmmmmm....

Yummy!


These are perfect for salads, but why wait for a salad???

My daughter makes these alllll the time for my DH....but I actually made this batch. :-)



Dodi's Pecans

1 egg white
1 tbsp. water
1# pecans
1 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon


oven @ 250


In a mixing bowl, whip egg white and water 'til frothy. In a seperate bowl mix sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add pecans to egg whites, stir to coat.........then pour into sugar mixture until coated. Spread evenly on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.


*Note* If you're using salted pecans, adjust the salt!


(I used Spenda when I made them last night........pretty darn good!)


I made a salad with assorted greens, red onion, tomato, kalamata olives, dried cherries and these pecans.........Italian dressing...........YUM!

PS....Still having computer/blogging problems. I don't know why, suddenly, I can't post on Firefox, it's giving me loads of trouble. I thought I had it fixed.......guess not! And, my Internet Explorer is "running without add-on's" ?? This is way too complicated.

  7. Hello Spencer! I just had to stop in and visit your blog again! I made this EXACT recipe for Sugared Pecans in December (last year too). My baber gets the nuts from a woman who has her own pecan trees and then sells them during the year. I made eight batches and placed them in these darling reproduction glass candy jars. They made FABULOUS gifts for Christmas...Easter, too!

  11. Hi Spencer ~ I just love sugared pecans, pralines, etc., well, the whole nuts/sugar is right up my alley. It's just like the old potato chip commercial..."you can't eat just one!"
