My darling daughter will be having surgery tomorrow morning, Friday the 24th.
This is a simple arthroscopic surgery on her knee, but she had this same surgery done when she was about 15 and we nearly lost her when she got staph infection in her joint.
She's had trouble with her knee since that surgery. The Dr. should have lost his license. He wouldn't listen to me when I called to tell him how sick she was and refused to see her in his office for three days. On that visit he recognized how sick she was and sent her for immediate emergency surgery. She was in the hospital for nearly two weeks and on home I.V. for a month after that. It was terrifying.
I'm trying not to be afraid, I know the Lord will take care of her, but I just can't shake this feeling. If you would pray for her AND her Mom I'd appreciate it so much.
Her name is Dodi and she'll always be my little girl.
Hugs to all!
Spencer

PS.......I'll be away from Blogland for a few days. I'll be staying with my sweet girl to care for her and my little grandson.
PSSSSSS......I am getting ready to leave to do some things before my stay with Dodi....I looked at my messages and am weeping........THANK YOU.......precious gals for praying for my girl. God is so good. I'm so blessed to have you placed into my path. What a Glorious God we serve. I am grateful.
Many, many hugs,
Spencer
OH! That will be so easy! I'd love to put her in my prayers! I know the surgery will go fine, I just really hope her rehab goes smoothly as it takes the longest! Best to you all!

Praying for your beautiful girl, Spencer! Isn't it a JOY to be the parent of a lovely young woman? My girl continues to steal my heart away.
ReplyDeleteLifting Dodi up to a healing, loving Jesus!
Love, Rebecca
Staph infections are nothing to sneeze at. A good friend of mine called her doctor three times just before Christmas to get an appointment. Each time she was put off for a later date. Finally in the emergency room they discovered that her blood was highly infected. We nearly lost her!
ReplyDeleteSending oodles of good thoughts out to your daughter and many prayers for a a speedy and uneventful recovery.
DEAR SPENCER,
ReplyDeleteI WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU, YOUR DAUGHTER, THE DR. AND THE OPERATING ROOM STAFF...NO WEAPON/GERM FORMED AGAINST HER WILL PROSPER IN THE NAME OF JESUS. NOT ONE GERM WILL BE FOUND ANY WHERE. THERE WILL BE NO INFECTION.
I AM HONORED TO PRAY FOR YOU AND HER. I PRAY FOR THERE TO BE A PEACE IN YOUR SPIRIT.
YOU KNOW, THERE ARE DRS. OUT THERE THAT THINK THEY ARE GOD AND THE PARENTS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING....THE PATIENT ALWAYS PAYS THE COST WHETHER THE DR. IS SUED OR NOT BECAUSE THERE IS NO PRICE FOR SUFFERING AND THE FEAR OF KNOWING YOUR CHILD IS SICK AND THE DR. WON'T LISTEN...THAT IS A BAD DR.
HUGS TO YOU BOTH
IT WILL BE OKAY

I will be glad to pray for her and I declare over her right now that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. Blessings to you and to your daughter.

Spencer, I will hold your DD in my prayers, I went though the same thing 8 yrs ago, After 4 surgeries, including 2 knee replacements, I took staph after my last replacement, after emergency surgery to remove knee and a ton of infection, I spent 2 weeks in hospital and 3 mnth's in bed with drips 3 times aday. I was so bad, I did't care if I lived or died, I just wanted some relief. I have had 2 surgeries since and no sign of infection, so we will pray that is her out come this time.
ReplyDeleteI will be remembering you and your daughter and the Dr. tomorrow during the surgery. I pray all goes well and you will enjoy the extra time with such a beautiful daughter and her son.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with your daughter and your family, dear Spencer. I hope the surgery goes wonderfully and it corrects her problems with no complications.
ReplyDeleteMuch love, dear friend,

I am seeing my own surgeon in the morning (hoping to get this dumb cast off my ankle!), so that will be a good reminder for me to pray for Miss Dodi AND her mama! I have three grown daughters, myself, and we never stop thinking of them as our sweet babies, do we!
ReplyDeleteGrins, prayers, and blessings!
My family will be praying for you both.
