Sorry....I tried to make it into a hidden link, but darned if I could figure that little gizmo out.
Well............This sweet couple came to dinner over the weekend.
And, here comes the HAPPY part....
THEY'RE GETTING MARRIED!
How exciting is that?
He's 63 and she's 59.......and ready to live "happily ever after"....
I remember when I got divorced, I was 41.....there were so many single gals out there that told me there just aren't any good guys left and just plan on being single....well, this gal's just not the single type. I'm a marrying kind of gal. Yeah, and I have PROOF.....I've done it THREE times. :-)
I got married when I was 20........again when I was 42 and yet again when I was 47.....ok....this is the LAST one....We've been married 12 years and going strong.
If you're single...
don't let them tell you there's no one out there for you. ;-)
So, no date's been set yet........but let me tell you.......they are walking on air.
Want to hear the romantic part?
Mr. Romantic gave Susan an empty box with a letter in it.
He said that this box is like my heart before I met you....empty.......you've filled my heart and I want to fill this box with memories of our life together.....or something close to that. I swear I want to post that little love letter. It said much more, but I can't remember all of it. He handed Susan the box, she opened it....realized there was a letter inside and handed it to him to read.....which he did, in between soft sobs.
Now, doesn't that make you want to cry? I sure teared up at that little story, but I squealed...........LOUDLY..........when they told us the big news.
I'm so excited for them. They both sooooo deserve the happy ending.
The most wonderful people you'd ever want to meet.
The End.
Huggies and Lovies!
Spence

Oh.......and PS.........I don't know how it happened, but someone's blog appeared on my sidebar. Not on my list, but above it. It was really weird. I had never been to their blog and certainly didn't want it on mine. I tried several different times to remove it, but it wouldn't LEAVE....when I finally got it to go lots of my favorite girlies disappeared too....I'll re-add all of you as I remember......darn it all.

Congrats to the happy couple. I just love a good love story! Wishing them many blessings in the years to come.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Spencer...
ReplyDeleteHow sweet is that/ I love the idea of the box, and it is never to late to fall in love. People fall in love early in life and late in life. Love hits you when it is supposed to. I have been married almost 35 years now.
Congrats to the happy couple. Thanks for sharing.
Isn't that weird about that blog showing up? Haven't heard of that happening, but weird things happen all the time in blogland.
Have a beautiful day sweetie.
Country hugs...Sherry

ReplyDeleteI hope you remember to add me to your list. ;-)
Spencer... just found your blog and love it! Added myself to the followers list! I do love a good love story... and being a thrice married chicky myself, I can speak with some authority... that is a great love story! The letter in the box... dang! Back to speaking with some authority... you are so right. Never believe there is no hope for finding true love... I think the one's that last keep God in the center... took me long enough to figure that one out! I am most grateful to Our Heavenly Father for that... and so much more. Very nice meeting you... and, my bungalow is named Tallulah. LOL. And, my grandson is BLISS! Good Day to you.
ReplyDeleteCongrat's to your two buddies (handsome couple too! Every girl loves a great love story. What a sweet man & oh so romantic. My husband is the sweetest man ever, but romantic..NOT!

ReplyDeleteThat is truly wierd about your blog sidebar. I can't imagine how it could have happened. Maybe it wasn't intentional & Blogger had a hic-cup??
Happy Holidays!
Love,
Marilyn
I love stories with happy endings! That is a cute metaphor that Mr. Romantic's heart was like an empty box before he met Susan. I am so happy for your friends...when is the big day going to take place....during the holidays would be so nice.

ReplyDeleteDear Spencie....I'm so happy for your sweet friends. God is good and so wants us to be happy this side of heaven. I'm thrilled that these two peeps found each other. Very attractive couple.
ReplyDeleteNow...about the unwelcomed blogger on your sidebar. This week I've received three posts from bloggers I do not know (advertising kind). DELETE. Then I got hit with a TROJAN Virus that was quickly quarantined by my trust computer program. Someone/something is ALWAYS out to destroy! ;(
xoRebecca
When the right person comes along, you have to jump on that opportunity. Age has nothing to do with it. I am thrilled for your friend and happy to see that 3 was the charm for you. Enjoy the heck out of it (the relationship).
ReplyDeleteSusan
