Happy Pink Saturday Girlies!
Yeah, you might have guessed these little posie pix are NOT from this year.....but leftover from last year.
We have a tiny little back yard here at the cottage. And, a beensie patio too. It was the biggest one to choose from on the list of options, but come on..........it's still pretty darn little. :-)
I adore English gardens so this is my little stab at that look.
I bought those great chairs at an estate sale for next to nothing and got the table at Costco.
Another topiary made from rooted ivy and a hanger. Try it! It costs nothing and you can have yourself a pretty darn topiary for FREE!

I just found a delish tablecloth to put out there this summer.
It was a great thrifting day for this chick.
I had to go to the chiropractor so I always cruise a couple of thrift stores while I'm out and about.
I think I paid four dollars for this little wagon in very sad shape. I didn't care, I just use it to tote my posies. These were my fall flowers....probably from this past year.
Everything still looks pretty droopy and puny here right now.
I usually plant all the goodies around Mother's Day.....Every time I've rushed the season we get a nice big 'ol freeze and everything croaks. I've learned that lesson now. (Finally).
For lots more Pink Saturday fun.....

ReplyDeleteSometimes a small garden is better...less work and more time to enjoy! I love the topiary. I WILL try it this summer. We, like you, don't plant until after Mother's Day. I get impatient but it gives me time to plan.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Good morning precious Spencer,
ReplyDeleteWe too are waiting for Spring and I dare not plant before Mother's Day!! I remember when I lived in Massachusetts....one dared not even wear white shoes before Mother's Day!!!!! It was such an interesting culture out there......
Hey, when you get a chance, come by to see my sick mind at work. :)
Love ya! Anita
Very beautiful Spencer! Like an English cottage garden! A pretty place for an afternoon cup of tea!

"Do these shoes match this purse?"
Your little garden is just adorable and I know I couldn't have planted any of those annuals in your adorable wagon...I would have gone to the garden center and bought some more.lol Thanks for the ivy tip...it's so aggressive I often pull it out by its itty bitty running roots and toss it but I think I'll try the potting tip. Hope spring arrives to stay soon.
ReplyDeleteI love your English garden. Oh I wish you could come do some decorating/gardening for me!!! Hope you have a happy Easter week.
ReplyDeleteI use an old wagon for hauling flowers, dirt and gardening stuff too. It was my children's wagon who are now grown. My husband actually had to put new tires on it which he got at Farm and Fleet or is it called Fleet and Farm. Never can remember. Adore your posies.

Spencer, I love your English garden, and that wagon is precious. I love the fact that it looks shabby. It's a nice foil for pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you. I've been MIA lately and will be again. I hope your wedding went well and that you are feeling good.
Miss you and will visit just as soon as I get things done on the house. Could use your prayers. I explained on the blog.
Love you much, sweet friend...
XO,
Sheila :-)
So pretty and so much to look forward to! Hope your daughter is doing better...I'm sure it was so difficult with her history...Have a blessed week.
