Ahhhh.... Come ON.... It's JULY!

Yep, I LOVE, love, love the Pacific Northwest...

It's such a beautiful place to live but this is just CRAZY!

Isn't this supposed to be summer?

Listen.... I can HEAR my posies yelling for some sunshine.

It's dark and gloomy and there is not a hint of a bright day.

I guess it's just as well. I will doing more sorting and cleaning today.

It makes me appreciate having an eensie-beensie cottage..........there aren't many rooms to clean. :-)

I hope all is well with all of you dear and wonderful chickies and hopefully you're getting a bit of sunshine in your world. :-)

Are you toasty or freezing too?

I'll be a good blogging buddy again, I PROMISE! Right after I finish this project.

Oh my goodness.... You just can't imagine how many "lost" things I've found.

It'll just be me and Mr. Clean today. Gosh, I love that guy.

Huggies, Lovies and Blessings,

  1. I know. We ALL think of summer as hot temperatures and lots of sun. We are battling with Alex right now. There are tornado watches here and rain, rain, rain. It is even predicted for the Fourth of July. Bummer! Guess there are just some years like this.
    Have a great day though..

  2. Yeah, granddaughter says it's been chilly over there. Our weather is crazy also. Not much "summer" weather for us over here either.

  3. We have been having the perfect weather in Pa. in the mid 70's all week and forcast for the weekend of the 4th is in the 90's!!!

Sorry your having yuckey summer here it rained every other day, I was so tired of rain!

  4. Oh pooo...drab days get me down, down, down. Don't know HOW you are handling it.

    You are, handling it? Right?

  5. I'll send you our next humid day and take your 54 degrees in July/August gladly! : )

  6. Here in Hood River I'm wearing my fleece .. IN JULY! And my tomato plants are not happy either. But I am grateful its not 107 like last summer...not yet. :-) -amy

  7. Spence, we are sitting tight inside with the AC running full blast! The sun came out this morning, but it is about to rain AGAIN. Of course, it's debatable whether or not it's raining in St. Augustine. It seems to get skipped! ;-)

    Sheila :-)

  8. Don't feel bad! We up north are just getting a look at the sun! I renamed my sunflowers to cloudflowers! and COLD!!!!! Golly, I heard the furnace waaaaay to much the past 2 days! But it could be worse, we could be down by Alex! My heart goes out to you girls!!!!!! Batten down! Better days ahead!

  9. We are having coolish but sunny weather. Bu coolish, I mean that it is usually 104 here and today it is in the 80's! Woo Hoo!

  10. After tons of rain and is in the 70's and sunny! Heaven!

  11. Spencer...I know..I know I live close by and I am realllllly reallly tired of this too.....enough..enough..need some blue sky..WARMTH....I am needing vitamin D....really on that one..had the blood work done and my D3 was 11....not good...not good...oh wow do I want blue sky...let's pray okay...

  12. I'm here in the Pacific NW with you! We just had a sun break. I am so ready for some sun. I just can't make myself do anything outside while it is still so dreary. Maybe, just maybe, we will have some real summer soon. My dear hubber reminds me that if we were "home" in Alabama we'd be near death from the heat and humidity. Guess I should just bloom where I'm planted :-)

  13. It's hard for me to have sympathy for you since we have been sweltering the last three weeks here in Alabama. Sylvia's husband is right-on in her post above. But, we have had a cool-down for the past couple of days and are promised a beautiful Fourth of July weekend with lower humidity and highs in the 80's! Bring it on! Hope you have a wonderful and SUNNY Fourth!

  16. SPENCER!!!! You came to visit my post; I just love to see my dear friends come visit with me!!! And that yellow cottage....we saw that on one of our walks in my sister-in-law's neighborhood. Such a pretty place with cottages all around. AND THE REST OF THE TRIP WAS UNFORGETTABLE! And of course....I am going to chronicle our addition, I hope you and the other bloggers will not tire of it, but it is pretty exciting!

I hope the rain has subsided so you can have a decent fourth of July, dearest. Wishing you a wonderful day at Bellamere!!! Anita

  17. Hi Spencer, Georgia is very humid and HOT! I want to wish you and yours a Happy 4th!

  18. Hi Cupcake! I am sending sunny day prayers up to the weather maker himself! Let's see what He does!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend, gal! We are taking it low and slow...just how we like it!

Love and big toasty sunny Florida hugs,

  19. Sweet lady, this is when you grab that delicious cup of tea, a delectable muffin, a fabulous book ... & hunker down into another world! Oh, do I miss those dreary summer days out there... NOT ON YOUR LIFE! Chuckle!

    Have a beautiful holiday.
