Happy Tuesday Sweet Chickies!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I appreciate your prayers so much. You are so dear and sweet and FAITH.FUL.
I talked to the Dr. and the only thing out of whack was my calcium.
It's a bit high.
Now, you'd think having LOTS of calcium would be a really, really good thing, right?
Well, it seems that's just not great.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Well, it seems that's just not great.
Especially since I've already broken my femur.
Another blood test and then I guess we'll see what's next.
So............all that upset and fretting was pointless. You would think I would have learned that by now. I wasn't trusting God. My faith was weak.
Shame on me.
Now, see that sweet little topiary?
Tightwad Tilly strikes again.
Coat hanger.
Bent into a circle, stuck in the dirt and a few snippets of ivy from another plant.
And, we have a nice, full topiary. FREE. Oh, how I LOVE free.
Try it.... You'll be surprised!
And, frugal. I LOVE frugal. Don'cha think frugal sounds better than cheap? :-)
I love clay pots when they're all yukky... junk growing on them..... fertilizer salts... dirt, whatever. I saw somewhere that you can put a thin cement on the outsides of them, in spots, to make them yukky... Would any of you dear chickies know how to do that??
Because, for sure, I NEED one more project. :-)
Have a wonderful day dear ones.
I'm grateful to you. More than I can say.

I am so happy for you, Spencer...this is fantastic news! We can't help but worry about our health so don't feel guilty about that. I'm sure all of the good thoughts and prayers out in Blogland helped!! Bless you!

Somehow I missed that you were worrying about your health, Spencer! I am glad you got some good news. God bless you every day!
ReplyDeleteLove, B
Love your topiary, Spencer! I used to do those myself; I had a house full of real, live plants! Unfortunately, once I went back to work full-time they became neglected. Glad you are okay. I have a lab work form that I need to go take care of myself. I can't have any coffee {fasting blood work}, though, so I'm trying to find a morning that I can just get up and go right there {and then have my coffee as quickly after it as possible}.
ReplyDeleteCalcium can be out of whack for a lot of reasons... usually just because of medications you are on, so don't worry too much, they will get it all sorted out!
ReplyDeleteOh, Spence, such good news!! Glad to hear it.
ReplyDeleteCAn't help with the pot thing but love the topiary. You are a frugal gal!! It's a good thing....

Hi Spencer,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you are feeling so much better!!!
Not fun being out of sorts..
Have the happiest of days! I know you will.
Big hugs~Elizabeth
Thank God it's just your calcium. BTW, you can just send that my way :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable topiary and so easy and inexpensive to make.
I am so glad that it wasn't anything to serious with your health. As we age it seems to be one thing and then another. I am low on vitamin D so am taking meds for that. My knees ache but after bookoos of tests it was just arthritis. Oh my! Trusting God is an all time job for me so you aren't alone on that one. He loves us anyway.
ReplyDeleteHi Spencer,
ReplyDeleteYour so sweet, really you are! thank you for visiting me...
My http is different than my blog name.

ReplyDeleteHi Spencer,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got a good health report.
I really like your topiary. I'm always trying to grow ivy and killing it! LOL.
hugs

Hi Spencer and I'm so happy for your news! Our God understands that we worry about our health sometimes. It's okay, we're just human! :)
ReplyDeleteNow look at you being so fantastic with that cute little topiary!! I'll have to try this.
I've never poked cement on pots so I can't give any advice! ;)
Thank you for saying you'll come to my Heart of the Home Party! It should be fun.
Now take care of yourself and be a sweetie,
shelia :)
Soooo glad that is all it is!!!! Nice to know that friends do pray and prayer works, right? Love your topiary!!!! How thrifty is that, not that I can grow an ivy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Margaret B
Oh my goodness! I love the name tightwad tilly!! TOO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI too LOVE clay pots with all the gunk on them. They have quite a few in an antique mall that I frequent...all sizes from small to large and I pick out the dirtiest ones I can find! lol Can't not pick them up at 2/$1.00. That is cheaper than new ones.
Here is a link you might want to try out for aging your pots. I have not looked at it because my dial up is so slow, but if it isn't what you want just google it and a lot of pages will come up.

Great news Spencer! Love the topiary!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear your test results were good Spencer. I'm sorry I haven't been around enough to pray with you. Love that topiary and frugal does sound better, but I don't mind being cheap at all.
ReplyDeleteDon't know about the cement thing on clay pots. Mine just seem to get "yucky" with age and being out in the weather.
So glad to see you and your beautiful daughter's faces on Sat. So sad you have had such a struggle, so glad you are getting better! And love that you know how loved you are.
ReplyDeleteSo many blessings to your sweet family,
deb
YEAH! BRAVO CHEERS!!!! I am delighted to hear that you are well my sweet; I was nervous for you and I prayed hard! Sometimes our hormones and minerals just go out of whack for whatever benign reason, but look at you, you are having fun once again! CHEAP, FREE, EASY is always SOOOOOOO MUCH FUN! Oh dearest, you just light me up; I love, I just absolutely loved your comments on my post a couple of days ago. YOU MADE ME CHUCKLE! And again, you are a fabulous writer, Spencer. You make the moment come alive......love to you my sweet friend, Anita
ReplyDeleteSweet Spencer, this is marvelous news! I am so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a kick, 'tightwad tilly'! I am cheap & make no bones about it! Hmmm, that doesn't sound sophisticated? Oh, well!
Have a beautiful day sweet friend ... such a relief to know you are going to be fine.
Have a beautiful day ~
TTFN ~ Hugs of love, Marydon
Hi Spencer, glad that it was so simple...as I get older, I worry about my health like I have never done before.
ReplyDeleteOkay, you must be a GREEN thumb....did you split your ivy? You didn't just snip/cut pieces??!
Hugs!
