Thinking PINK! :-) Gotta Love Pink Saturday!

Oh you sweet little Girlies...........have I told you lately that I think you're just the best??

I'm so happy to have "met" so many of you.  Bloggieville is such a wonderful place, isn't it?

Happy Pink Saturday To 'Ya...    :-)
Whew, doing Pink Saturday makes me realize how quickly Saturdays roll around!  YIKES.

The sweet little Bride came today with one of our dear friends to do up the posies.

Susan brought a yummy salad and when I began to bless our meal I started that nasty crying.  Not the cute little cry when your eyes well up.....no, that slobbery, goopy cry......I could barely pray.  I'm just so happy that these two have found each other.  Isn't God good?

We all pitched in and had the flowers done and ready to go in no time at all.

And, tomorrow is THE day.

Not a gal who loves minimalism....   :-)   I'll pile a whole big 'ol bunch of stuff together.

Some girlies have a wonderful garage where they can run out and spray paint....or whatever.  Yeah, mine's just not pretty.  Man I can fit a LOT of stuff in a garage.    :-)

And, yes.........I LOVE fake flowers.  I like the real ones better, but what the heck....a girlie's gotta go with what's in season.  And, in Washington right now it's the season of fake flowers.   :-)

See, one little item is just not enough for the "over-do" girl...

I started the little topiary from starts from another ivy.  Isn't it handy to just keep on makin' new plants?

One of the girlies who came today showed me how to start African Violets.  Who knew?

I have three from my Mum's funeral.....I haven't killed them for over a year now!

She'd be so proud.    :-)

Just stick that little leaf into water.....just like ivy and it roots!  Isn't that fabulous?

Now my sweet chickies.........you MUST go see all of the other lovely PINKS.

I'm sure it will satisfy that pink craving...

Miss Beverly is so dear to host this little party.

Go see her at:

And, have a wonderful weekend.
I'll have pictures of the happy couple in a few days.

(Bobby told Susan this morning that they would be married in 36 hours and 20 minutes.....how romantic is that???)

How Cute Is This? It Makes Me Smile..... Happy Pink Saturday My Sweet Chickies!

Happy Pink Saturday....
Have I told you all how wonderful you all are?

What a blessing you are to me.  I am SO overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayer and comfort for my malady.....So touched and weepy, in fact, by your caring spirits.

Thank you from the bottom of my pea pickin' heart.  It means more to me than I can ever say.

I am in awe.

I had no idea when I began blogging that I would meet so many wonderful girlies who actually care about me.....God is soooo good.  Isn't He?

And, I care about you too!   :-)

Ahhh......Bloggyville.  What a great place.

I LOVE posies....I simply adore them.  They make me smile.
Now, potholes, on the other hand, not so much.

I hit one several years ago and broke my darn axle.  Whew, that's an expensive fix.

But, who wouldn't love them filled with adorable little flowers?

 Doesn't it make you smile?

I want to live where this fellow lives!

His name is Pete Dungey.....
You can find him here:

Wasn't that a dandy idea?

There are TONS of girlies contributing to Pink Saturday now.

It has grown so much in the past few months.

You'll want to pop on over to Miss Beverly's to catch the links to the other sweeties.

I'm sending you all ENORMOUS grateful hugs!

If you'd continue to pray for me that would be stupendous.

I'm still hurtin'....

Oh Yes! I've Been Thrifting! Happy Pink Saturday To All Of You Sweet Girlies!

Hi my dearies........and Happy Pink Saturday...    :-)

I hope you've been having a glorious week.

We've actually seen the SUN here in the Pacific Northwest.....It was a beautiful day today.  Oh how I'm yearning for spring.

Well, if you've been reading the 'ol Bellamere Cottage blog you know the saga of the bleached blue check duvet cover..(see sad face)...shown right there in the picture above.  And, you also know that I've been on the quest to find a replacement.........I've been everywhere.  It's been a sad and pitiful quest.  Still no gingham.  But, with the bad news, there's always some good news, right?

Soooooooooooooo.....Let's just look at the BRIGHT side.    :-)

Well, if a girlie goes to thrift stores often enough she WILL find some treasures, right?

Yep, she sure will.

Lovely little linen tablecloth....I'm going to use it in the master bedroom re-do.  Four dollars.

And, another shot of that adorable Cath Kidston-ish bowl for the sewing room....

An enormous tea cup with posies on the front.....I think it was only two dollars.

Blue plate.....79 cents.

Little orphan teacup....29 cents  (I don't care if this little gal lost her saucer....I have a plan!)

Lidless cottage ware sugar bowl.....I don't remember how much this was, but it was a steal...

It's going in my bathroom....I don't know what I'll use it for, but I'll come up with something.  It makes me happy!

Bennington bowl?  Yep, less than a dollar!  Can you believe it?  I had a few of these many years ago, but sold them at my garage sale.....they were quite the "thing" then.

See that adorable little pitcher?  It has a green border on the bottom and is English...I love it!

I think that little white china piece is for posies.  I have something very similar that is for pansies....Do you think it is?  I think it would be soooo perfect for business cards.  Not that I have business cards, mind you!    :-)

 Yummy!

Wow!  Yowza!  Look at this little beauty!  I love it.  It was about three dollars and is in perfect condition.
I always envy all of the fabulous finds you girlies have on your bloggies.....I'm happy to say I've found a few of them myself.

I am crazy about that vintage flower pot.....Ok, it's NOT vintage.  I found two of them at the Goodwill, different pots at different stores, by the way....I think they're probably from the dollar store, but I LOVE them.....and they were so CHEAP.  Yep, I know I'm supposed to say inexpensive or affordable, but what the heck.........I LOVE CHEAP!

You won't be sorry.

It's a fiesta of fun.

Have a wonderful weekend my dearies!

I love you gobbies!

Oh Girlies! It's Pink Saturday!!!! And, I'm A Cath Kidston Wanna Be!

 Hi Dear Girlies!

I hope you've been having a glorious week, and that you're warm and cozy.  I can't imagine being without power when it's soooo cold, and I've heard some folks still are.  Brrrr.

It rained a TOTAL Pacific Northwest rain today.....pouring.......and the raindrops were each the size of a golf ball.  Ok, that's only a SLIGHT exaggeration.  It was horrible.  Puddles everywhere.

Could it be on a "stay home and be cozy day"??  Oh no........it was a "have to stop six places" kind of day.  Great.

I looked like a drowned rat by the time I got home.

YIKES!

Ok, that's enough whining, don'tcha think?    :-)

A while back I told you about the black tapestry chair in my sewing room and the effort to decorate around it.......Well, I just couldn't.  YUK.....So, I've decided to slipcover the chair so I can have a cheery and bright room.  YIPPEEE!

I ADORE Cath Kidston.  She has wonderful things and awesome fabrics.

However, I am on a budget and can't spend forty nine gazillion dollars on fabric and then add sixty four hundred thousand dollars more for shipping.......so I'm a girl on a mission.

DO IT ON THE CHEAP!

So, I guess we'll call the new room Cath Kidston-ISH...   :-)

I dug through my fabric stash and found LOTS of fabrics that will have the Cath sort of look.......and I've been to a couple of thrift stores too.....NATURALLY!

Don't they look happy?

Nope, not a Cath Kidston bowl, but it sure looks like it doesn't it?  1.99 at the thrift store....as was the little spotted (The Brits call polka dots spots, so I'm just getting in the mood)...box.  I was so excited to have found it.

The green storage box is from Joann's....I need LOTS of storage.

I'm also re-working some baskets.  I'm anxious to show you those too.  I've been collecting them for a couple of months now.  That's a whole other story....I'll try to keep the chatter on the minimal side............Ok.........that was a fib.  I HAVE to talk a lot...it's in my nature.    :-)

Look at this old rick rack.........isn't it divine?  Eight cents?  Isn't that hilarious?

I have some that is marked 13 cents too.

I think the old stuff is so much better than the new stuff.

Gotta love vintage.

So, I'm pretty well stocked up on supplies for all of my sewing.

And, I did finish the slipcover for my desk chair.

I'll be showing that to you really soon.

It was a trial, but I prevailed.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend Sweet Chickies!

Huggies and Lovies,
Spence

Happy Pink Saturday Dear Girlies!!!!

 Hi there dearhearts........

I'm telling 'ya........I always have big plans for Pink Saturday and then it just sneaks right up on me and I'm sooooooooo not ready.

We live in the Pacific Northwest where the Pink Elephant Car Wash is such a familiar sight....

I'm thinking I should be driving my little car through one..    :-)

 Maybe in the evening?

Maybe just go buy myself a nice new car?  My daughter would LOVE this....she's such a Hello Kitty fan....It's a happy little machine, isn't it?
I'd never, ever drive a car that small.  I'm on the freeway all the time and I'd feel like a gnat!

Maybe an Uptown car?

Gotta love that, don'tcha?

Please forgive me for this lazy post.  It's nearly 1 am and I'm pooped.

I've been doing one of those tedious little jobs......We have about 500 CD's....does anyone use them anymore?.....I think most everyone has an IPOD, right?  Well, I can't bear to get rid of the darn things and DON'T have an IPOD......(well, I do have a Shuffle, but it doesn't hold many songs)....so I'll be hangin' onto the darn things.  I'm taking them all out of the cases and putting them in those little white CD envelopes.  What a job.  I'm going to file them in some drawers I already have.  I think it will be much more efficient and it will take up soooo much less room.

Problem.......I've been working on it for a week!

Yikes!

Can I call that Pre-Spring Cleaning???

Now, I know you'd love to see some really great pink posts, so please go see Sweet Beverly at How Sweet The Sound.........

Hey Sweet Chickies!!! Random Pinks for Pink Saturday!!!

Happy Pink Saturday Sweet little Chickies....

I often find gobs of lovely things when I'm poking around the net....and I can't resist saving them....Do you do that too?

Soooo....When I was trying to decide what I'd do for Pink Saturday this week I thought I'd share some of these wonderful pix with you.

They make me smile!

Which is just great about now. The new 'puter arrived. Oh how shiny and new! And, fast. But, sadly, not without problems. You know how you get all of your favorite things loaded up? Yeah, welllllll...........I don't know where some of those things went, but they're gone for sure.

My sweet computer fella came to help AGAIN tonite. We couldn't retrieve my e-mail from my main account. Yeah, I'm a little bit behind in the reading department and there were over 900 e-mails in my box..........NOT my blog account....I read every single one of those and LOVE them all! Promise. Shhhhh...........don't tell anyone I was soooo far behind. (Lots of them were ads and such...so it's really not as bad as it sounds.) I had some serious reading to do. Note: HAD. Empty mailbox now. YIKES.

And, no contacts either.

This is a little too small for me.........oh how I LOVE thrifting. How much could I jam inside this little pink cutie?

Would it be nearly as cute with all of my goodies tied on top? :-)

It makes me smile though, and I suspect I'd sing a lot driving it around. Yes, I WOULD keep the windows rolled allllll of the way up.

Dang.........I've been searching high and low for one of these! Do you think it might be a dual purpose item?

My daughter and I gave a bridal shower a couple of years ago.....we made this party hat for the bride to wear.

Pink and glitter.....oh yes.......I think I need one of these.

No, no more marriages for this girl. :-)

You KNOW they say three is a charm......I'm stickin' with that.

I'm crazy about vintage postcards....isn't this one a cutie?

I think I got many of these from Flickr....but if I got them from YOU....thank you very much. And, if you'll let me know, I'd be happy to give you credit. :-)

Now, I know you'd really love to see more great pinks!

As always, Beverly is hosting this Pink Party.

Isn't she just a peach?

I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend.

May the Lord bless you ABUNDANTLY!!!

I love alllll of you.
