Got My Craft On... :-)

Hi my sweet friends..   You really are, you know!  I'm so happy to know each and every one of you.  I'm so glad you come to visit.  It makes my day, it really does.

So...  five or six years ago I saw a similar bracelet in a bead store........I RUSHED to sign up for the class, but it was going to be impossible for me to make it to the class at the time the class was offered.  I put my name on the waiting list.

I waited and waited and waited.

THEY. NEVER. CALLED.

I checked back countless times while searching for the class somewhere else.

I did find a class on a Hawaiian vacation.  The class was the day after we left.

Searching.  Searching, Searching....

And, FINALLY...  Whooppeee........YeeeHaw.....and Good Glory Be...   

I found the class and it was a LOT less expensive that the other classes I had found......and there were only two students that day........my daughter and ME!

As I've said a million times....I am crazy about my girl.....and it's always a good day when I can spend some time with her.

This is my first shot at this kind of bracelet and it has some boo-boos...  glad you can't see them in my lousy shot...     :-)

Someday I'm going to learn to take good pix.

We had so much fun and I'm already putting collections together to make more.  Oh yes.......I'm not a "One Shot Tilly" kind of chickie.....I'll make one in every color.  That's just how I roll.

And, I bought that cute 'lil box while out thrifting for a couple dollars.  Isn't it cute?  Sort of reminds me of some that have been on Decor Steals, doesn't it?

Hey, Look At What I Made!

Nope......not responsible for those lovely lemons!

God knew what he was doing when He made those little lovlies, didn't He?

Don't they smell YUMMY?

When I was pregnant.........MANY years ago.......I craved lemons and ginger snaps.  I was really enjoying those little treats until the dentist told me I wouldn't have any enamel left on my teeth if I didn't stop.

Yep, that pretty much ended that fun.

But I did make that little black bracelet there..........

I LOVE buttons.  No, SERIOUS Button LoVe.....

I have forty-ninety gazillion of them.

One of these days I'll share them with you.

"So, why keep them all tucked away?" I asked myself.  Yes, I actually DO talk to myself.

Do you?

So, a smidge of black elastic and LOTS of vintage buttons and I was on my way.  Most of them are glass and rhinestone.  I ADORE them.  I have a few I'm going to replace as soon as I can find myself some little beauties.

It took all of the very bestest black buttons I had.  Holy cow....It took a LOT of buttons.

I had a really tough time getting a good picture....hope you can see it.

Those little yummies are tucked in every which way.

It'll give me something to look for when I go vintage shopping.  And, I always NEED a good excuse to shop.   Wink....Wink!

I'll get plenty of mileage out of this little bit of sparkle.

Now, about the backward ruffle.  I've done a million (ok, you KNOW that's an exaggeration) samples and it doesn't make any difference.  When I finally finish this room, I'll post pix and you'll have to promise not to notice.  It's gonna drive this perfectionist CC-rrr-a-zie....

They're almost finished, so progress is being made.

That makes me smile.

It's Beverly's Pink Saturday!

Thanks for popping in for a little visit. I LOVE having you. I am so enjoying the blog-world. You gals have been so welcoming to me and I've had so much fun getting to know you. I am blessed!


While I was at my daughter's caring for her I finished the final block for my quilt. It's all hand dyed wool, done in applique and beaded. I LOVE doing it. I did lots of this quilt while I was caring for my Mum......it holds a lot of memories. She was so proud. She picked out her favorite blocks and we chose a block to represent everyone in the family. There are 25 blocks and each one is different. I tried to take a picture of all of them, but it just DID NOT photograph very well. Maybe I'll try again before I put it together.

My darling daughter bought this box for me at an estate sale...........she LOVES a good estate sale.....not that I don't, I really do! I just feel sad for the folks who's life it represents.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh........YES! The summer shoe wardrobe. I'm crazy about flip-flops (my Darling Hubby is from Hawaii......they call them slippa's there).......at any rate they were so cheap and they have sparkles.......!!!!! I do love a good sparkle. Silver and pink. That should go with almost everything I wear. I have lots of other sparkly ones too. :-)

I got this picture somewhere on the internet.....maybe Rate My Space??? ....quite a while ago. I love this little cottage. It's just too darn cute, isn't it? If it's your house let me know so I can give you credit! :-)

Yesterday I posted about estate sales.........A wonderful gal in our area posts pictures of upcoming sales which is really quite nice. What if you get up at four to get there and then find out they don't have anything you'd want to haul home??? Well, a couple of years ago she posted the plate and bowl on her site. They were actually at two different sales. I wanted them both soooo badly. I got up early, drove a mighty long way and hoped I get them. Both times I wasn't even close to the front of the line.....probably number 20 or so.....and I still got them!!!!!! Aren't they so pretty? Yep, it was worth losing some sleep over these two beauties!
