I've made it three and half years without my Mum....
How did that happen?
I swore my life was over. I couldn't go on without this sweet woman... always there for me. My cheerleader. Confidant. BLESSING.
I've cried many tears lately.
Missing her.
That horrible gut-wrenching pain..........there again.
Wondering if it was the anticipation of another Mother's Day without her.
Thankfully, I was truly blessed.... she was a great Mum... the BEST.... I learned so much from her.
Miss you Mummy........I'm blowing you a special Mother's Day kiss today.
xoxoxo
Hi Spencer, I know the heartache and loneliness of missing ones mom. Praying her memories bring you smiles today. I imagine your own children are so very thankful for you.

I'll bet she blew a kiss back at you.♥ Very sweet to remember her so fondly. My Mother is gone too only she is always with me. Did you know all the prayers they ever said for us are still going strong? That helps me feel better. Happy Mothers Day!
ReplyDeleteYou just made me cry. My mama is 86 and I still can't imagine life without her. I don't want to think. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Spencie1 I know what you mean. The older we get the more we truly realize how very special our relationship with our mom really is. I found myself a little teary this morning, emotions were very close to the surface as I headed out to church. Missing our kids also all living far away. I hope your day turned out well. Did you see your daughter and grandson? Two our our grandies have turned 13 in the last couple of months. So strange how they grow up so fast.
ReplyDeleteYou take good care. Still love your music!
Hugs, Bonnie
Oh dearie... Such a touching post! Your Mother is proud, I know it! :) Such a fantastic daughter she has!
ReplyDeleteHope your day was filled with smiles.
Hugs,
Such a sweet tribute to your Mom. Of course it is natural to be extra teary on Mother's Day. I know she is looking down on you with pride.
ReplyDeleteI lost my Mom over 35 yrs. ago, a hardly a day goes by without thoughts of her. She made me a better Mom by being an example of love.
Big days are hard. Mother's Day is my Moms's Day for remembering.
I always love seeing your Mom's sweet face on your blog. You were indeed blessed.
What a precious photo of Mother, Spencer. My Mother has been gone for 22 years & I miss her every single day ... think of her every single day ... it never changes. I know your emotions. How could she not SMILE down upon you, her precious daughter ... my sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day ~
TTFN ~
Hugs & love,
Marydon
My precious Mom has been gone since 2004, I am an only child, my Mom was my life...I, like you thought my life was over when my Mom died, I am slowly coming out of that, not that I don't miss her every single day, but I've come to realize that she wouldn't want me to be sad every day. She was a lover of life and all things beautiful. Now I am TRYING to live every day seeing all the beautiful things she loved...a cardinal, beautiful flowers, pretty dishes, I am trying my best to enjoy all of it like I know she would want me to do. God bless you in your time of grief, but we were TRULY BLESSED to have wonderful Mothers, some people didn't get that chance!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post.
