Can it already be Monday? Whoa, that weekend just zipped by.
Several months ago I shared that the Hubbs and I had gotten a new bed.... well, it all started with the need to get a new mattress......then the Hubbs decided we should really go for a king size this time. Well, that means finding a new frame too.... and sheets, pillows, down comforter.......and on and on and on.
I was thrilled to have found a frame very similar to the old one. It's always been my favorite style. I actually had a vintage iron bed that was very similar many years ago in a full size. I just like them. Plain and simple.
So the photo above is the before. Queen size. I was quite concerned about fitting a king into our little cottage.

And, there's the new one. I am in love. It fits just fine, doesn't it? Well, there's no room to do aerobics, but then......I never did that anyway.
I felt overpowered at first, but now I'm really used to it.
Oh, and the sleeping.........what a huge difference. Have you tried memory foam? My shoulders and hips don't hurt anymore either.
We got an iComfort set. It is simply DEEE.LISH.
I feel like a new woman. :-)

I bought the same Loire matelasse spread and shams (Penneys) I had for the queen and re-used the pillows I already had.

Hmmmm.... I LOVE pillows. There are eleven on this bed. :-)

And, the details.... I love details. Isn't this little wreath just the cutest darn thing?
I bought the frame through Carolina Rustica and it's a Wesley Allen bed.... just in case you're interested. It was by far the best buy on the net.
I'm going Sweet Sally at Smiling Sally for Blue Monday.
Do pop over. You'll love her post. She has some shoes on her post you just won't believe. I could NEVAH walk in those things.
Happy President's Day.
Huggies and Lovies.
