Searching, Searching, Searching.....

I've talked about my silly pooch and her "girl" before.....but I dawned on me that I could appeal to all of you fabulous girlies out there to help me in my mission....

So, here's the story.

See that nice, fresh kid's stuffed animal there? It's CLEAN and CUTE?? Well, five years ago I bought this little cutie at Marshall's for my pup when she was just a new little cutie herself. Well, she liked it. She REALLY liked it. I don't know if she was taken from her mummy too soon or what, but this little cutie became her Binky.

She LOVES it. It's her MUMMY. So, after five years with her little gal....it's DISGUSTING. You know, sometimes little kids will have their Binky and the Mommy doesn't really want it to be seen in public anymore because it's so icky? Yeah.....well........

Ummm hmmmm......that would be my goofy puppy, not far from her "girl".....isn't it icky? Hey, don't say "why doesn't that woman give that "girl" a wash......I HAVE!!! It's just shot. See how it looks NOTHING like the cute, fresh bunny? Ruby's girl has no ears left! I've tried MANY other stuffed animals........she has them torn apart in about 20 seconds.

Sooooooooo..........here's my thought.....maybe some sweet gal out there has one of these.......maybe even all battered in their kid's toy box that they'd be ready to be rid of? That would be sooooooooooo wonderful for my Ruby. She'd be so happy!

This little gal is called Duffles by Baby Gund. I have found them on eBay, but by the time I pay shipping it was nearly thirty dollars........THIRTY dollars!!!! YIKES! Not that my little Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle's not worth THIRTY dollars, but what if she just doesn't "take" to the new "girl"...??? I'm a THRIFTY girl here......It's just not in me to spend THIRTY dollars on a risky venture. :-)

I hate to pitch the darn thing.........I'm so embarrassed when people actually SEE this darn thing.............and every single time I fire up the vacuum she runs and gets her girl......I don't know if I could ever vacuum again???!!...........Oh........silly me! That could be a GOOD thing!

So wonderful girlies........any Duffles out there???

Happy Pink Saturday!

Hi Gals and Happy PINK Saturday.........

Yep, that's a face only a mother could love, isn't it? Whew........she's got the crooked teeth going on, poor girl. She's smiling.....and every time she does we tell her she needs a dogathontist. Do they have them? I was trying so hard to get a really great picture of her, but she would have none of it...........she just wanted to put her adorable little ears back and smile..........oh, silly girl.

Her name is Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle and it was her birthday yesterday. She's FIVE! We just love this little gal to bits. She's the funniest little thing.

My sweet Mum bought me the little book just before she went to heaven. I love it. And, those are my cutest ever little pink slippers........gotta love the little pom-poms and my pink robe. It's the fluffiest, softest robe EVER!!

I made this little tote to carry my notebooks and other necessities to a class I was taking.... It was pretty handy!

Yep, free with Lancome........but I LOVE them. How could you NOT love a pink quilted cosmetic bag? And........Eiffel towers? I love 'em!

And, finally, the new pink Clarisonic. This thing is just terrific for purifying your skin. I use it every day.....

Ok......I Confess......My Pup Is A Knothead!

Isn't she just the cutest little thing? We tell her she needs a Dog-O-Thontist........her little teeth are a bit crooked.......she has an underbite and she's really crazy. We think she may need some counseling too. :-) We love her though and wouldn't trade her for anything. She stands and stares at the back door at the same time every single day, waiting for my husband to come home.

She loves basking in the sun. Here, in the Pacific Northwest, that's not always an easy thing to do, but if she can find a little spot, she's going to claim it. We call this look LaLa land.....she won't even look at us when we talk to her. She does the same thing at night when she's ready for bed. I'm tellin' you........she's something else!

This would be why she needs a counselor. Please somebody.....tell me your dog does this too???

When we brought little Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle home......hmmmmmmmm........just thinking, could it be her name that causes her to seek a comforter? ......anyway, I bought two Baby Gund "Duffles" bunnies. I gave one to Little Ruby along with lots of other toys. She LOVED it.......and then.............she started using it as her "binky"........ewwwwwwwww.......it got so nasty that I got out the other one and threw #1 away. Well, Little Ruby's nearly five now and she still has the darn thing. I sure wish I hadn't thrown away the first one. It would have to be in better condition than this one. I've looked and looked for a replacement, but she chews them up instantly. She does shake this one up sometimes, but always knows exactly where it is, especially when I start the vacuum. She runs for it right away and comes running with it. It's just crazy. I did find another one on eBay some time ago, but it was THIRTY dollars with shipping.......come on.......I don't think I really want to invest that kind of money just in case she doesn't recognize the new one as her "girl". I've looked at the Goodwill every single time I go for the past couple of years to no avail. I don't know what we'll do when this one is totally gone........

Mmmmmm..... PINK! Aren't the lovely?

Little dogs..........so cute! We actually have many of the same ones!

Handmade lampshade......Jan taught me how to do these little lovelies. They're actually pretty easy and have so much punch to them, don't they?

Another hand made shade.........and BIRDS!.....and ivy.........and tole trays!

My sweet friend, Jan, and I finally got together for a visit. We can't figure out why we wait so long to make time for a long chat and a yummy lunch! It had been months since we'd been together and did we ever talk up a storm.........you know how it is when you're with someone you just love and you're both chatters?? We talk so fast, and over each other......and laugh and laugh and LAUGH! It's such good fun. Why do we wait??

We LOVE the same things........Jesus, family and our HOMES! It was amazing, the first time we met, how alike our decorating styles are. We love tole trays, little dogs, birds, ivy, little vignettes and black (we both use it liberally). We look forward to Jennifer's new featured home at The Old Painted Cottage and chat about the look of each month's home. It's a great way to get ideas!

Jan is a hooker..........no..........not THAT kind......she is an EXPERT rug hooker. Oh my, they are just delicious. I do so many different arts, but I'm telling you, I'm having so much trouble mastering hooking. I have so much money invested in frames, I just HAVE to learn. We're going to be working on that as soon as I pick out a pattern. I've learned how to dye wool.........and I know what I like......I've discovered that just doesn't get the rug finished, however.

The snow is melted from yesterday, so I'm out and about today, doing some of the things that didn't get done yesterday. Whoooooppeee!

This is our Little Ruby.........actually, Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle.......yeah, we don't believe in simplicity around here. She's a spoiled little girl........yep, cozy little bed and Coach collar. She got lucky when she adopted us! She's a Frenchie mix........1/2 French-1/4 English Bulldog and 1/4 Boston Terrier. We thought she'd be a nice calm little dog because of the English Bulldog in the mix........yeah...........unh uhhhhhhhh. She flies around here like she's loaded with dynamite. She does have a great personality and is ever so smart though. This is one of her rare quiet moments. Yes, those are baby covers on the outlet. She thinks it's fun to lick it while she's resting! She's crazy but we love her! :-)
