Happy Thursday dear GIRLIES!!!



Oh my.....I AM ITCHIN' to get outside and get my pots planted up for summer.


I am sooooo late getting started this year. It takes me all day to get things goin'....but that's sure nothing compared to Marydon over at blushingrosetoo.blogspot.com. Holy moly....she's planting 32 gazillion posies! Honestly, I've never seen so many plants.....except at a nursery. I can't wait to see all of those pots in about a month!


I am crazy for flowers.........until about the end of August. By then I'm so sick of watering the darn things I wish they'd croak. Shhhhhhhh......don't tell the posies!



See that little rock peeking out of the pot? Very early in my blogging career I mentioned that I collect heart shaped rocks. No sooner had that little bit of information passed my lips when I got a message from Candy at rockcandy56.blogspot.com saying she'd watch for them for me....is that not the sweetest thing?



Well, a short time later this yummy rock arrived from TEXAS....it's not a heart shaped rock, but just look at that little heart in it........Isn't that FAB.U.LOUS? I couldn't believe it. I love my Texas rock....Candy, you're a peach.

Now, this would be my very favorite pot.........LAST YEAR. We had a pretty hard winter and the darn thing is BLACK. It turned black every year, but as soon as spring showed it's lovely face it would green up nice and PURTY again........nope, not this year. The darn things staying black. It is NOT lovely. That's a little bird peeking out of the top.... I love him.

Yep, another shot from last year. See that great piece of garden art?

We have had 3 or 4 of those little canvas patio covers. I LOVED this one. See the little fleur de lis? Ahhhhhh.....so cute? Well, a couple of years ago we got a really good snow and the darn cover ripped with all the weight. So, I just took three of those little bugers and used zip ties and put them together. Pretty clever, huh?


As I've said MANY times, they don't call me Tightwad Tilly for nothin'.......I can't bear to throw anything away. Not exactly a hoarder, but pretty darn close.

My snowball tree is finally growing up to be a regular tree. For the first two or three years my little Ruby ate it down to the ground. It was NOT pretty. I guess she's decided to leave the darn thing alone now....bless her little heart.





I made a tiny slip for a little chair today. I'll try to take pix in the next few days so I can show you.

I Have One CRAZY Pooch

Hi Girlies and Happy Thursday!

Just look at my crazy pup.....What a knot head.

She'll stand/sit like this for hours on end.

She has a cozy and comfy little bed....don'tcha think she'd be lots more comfy all cozied up on it?

I LOVE her profile....Isn't that just the cutest little thing?

She's soooo spoiled.........she has a fancy little bed, doesn't she?

My Hubbs thinks she's happier without a collar, so he always takes it off.

She's 1/4 Boston Terrier......1/4 English Bulldog and 1/2 French Bulldog.

The breeder thought that mixing the English in would make a calmer dog.

Yeah, that didn't work!

She has a wonderful sense of humor and makes us laugh every day though.

Her name is Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle, but we call her lots of other things including Little Crooked Teeth, Rubykins and Trouble Bucket.

We had some serious rain, thunder and lightning here today.  Oh, and a bit of sunshine too.

That's just how things are here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Searching, Searching, Searching.....

I've talked about my silly pooch and her "girl" before.....but I dawned on me that I could appeal to all of you fabulous girlies out there to help me in my mission....

So, here's the story.

See that nice, fresh kid's stuffed animal there? It's CLEAN and CUTE?? Well, five years ago I bought this little cutie at Marshall's for my pup when she was just a new little cutie herself. Well, she liked it. She REALLY liked it. I don't know if she was taken from her mummy too soon or what, but this little cutie became her Binky.

She LOVES it. It's her MUMMY. So, after five years with her little gal....it's DISGUSTING. You know, sometimes little kids will have their Binky and the Mommy doesn't really want it to be seen in public anymore because it's so icky? Yeah.....well........

Ummm hmmmm......that would be my goofy puppy, not far from her "girl".....isn't it icky? Hey, don't say "why doesn't that woman give that "girl" a wash......I HAVE!!! It's just shot. See how it looks NOTHING like the cute, fresh bunny? Ruby's girl has no ears left! I've tried MANY other stuffed animals........she has them torn apart in about 20 seconds.

Sooooooooo..........here's my thought.....maybe some sweet gal out there has one of these.......maybe even all battered in their kid's toy box that they'd be ready to be rid of? That would be sooooooooooo wonderful for my Ruby. She'd be so happy!

This little gal is called Duffles by Baby Gund. I have found them on eBay, but by the time I pay shipping it was nearly thirty dollars........THIRTY dollars!!!! YIKES! Not that my little Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle's not worth THIRTY dollars, but what if she just doesn't "take" to the new "girl"...??? I'm a THRIFTY girl here......It's just not in me to spend THIRTY dollars on a risky venture. :-)

I hate to pitch the darn thing.........I'm so embarrassed when people actually SEE this darn thing.............and every single time I fire up the vacuum she runs and gets her girl......I don't know if I could ever vacuum again???!!...........Oh........silly me! That could be a GOOD thing!

So wonderful girlies........any Duffles out there???

Happy Pink Saturday!

Hi Gals and Happy PINK Saturday.........

Yep, that's a face only a mother could love, isn't it? Whew........she's got the crooked teeth going on, poor girl. She's smiling.....and every time she does we tell her she needs a dogathontist. Do they have them? I was trying so hard to get a really great picture of her, but she would have none of it...........she just wanted to put her adorable little ears back and smile..........oh, silly girl.

Her name is Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle and it was her birthday yesterday. She's FIVE! We just love this little gal to bits. She's the funniest little thing.

My sweet Mum bought me the little book just before she went to heaven. I love it. And, those are my cutest ever little pink slippers........gotta love the little pom-poms and my pink robe. It's the fluffiest, softest robe EVER!!

I made this little tote to carry my notebooks and other necessities to a class I was taking.... It was pretty handy!

Pink AND ruffles.........does it get any better than that combination? :-)

Yep, free with Lancome........but I LOVE them. How could you NOT love a pink quilted cosmetic bag? And........Eiffel towers? I love 'em!

And, finally, the new pink Clarisonic. This thing is just terrific for purifying your skin. I use it every day.....

What Fun! The Daily Wag Dog Blog!

Little Francesca and Sharkey........don't they look like little princess's!

Little Ruby Mae PetuniaBelle is soooo excited about the new blog. She'll be checking it out!

Little Ruby is a Frenchie too! Doesn't she look like Francesca.......ok, really??? Ruby's really a mutt.........We bought her from a breeder who is developing a new "designer breed". She's 1/2 Frenchie, 1/4 Boston Terrier and 1/4 English Bull Dog. They say that mixing the breeds with help with common health issues. Ahhhhhhhh.....not so much here. She has allergies, we have to buy prescription food for her at the vet.......fifty dollars.......she was just at the vet last week for allergies.........300.00 and last month..........150.00.........But, you know how it goes.....they're part of the family and we'd do ANYTHING for them....


I have a horrible time taking pictures of her. Her eyes usually turn this eerie blue.....sort of like red eye, but blue?? The correction do-hickey in Picassa, and in the Cannon program will not correct it! Any suggestions? I'd love to have more pictures of her as soon as I can manage it!
