White Wednesday!

Hey Chickies!

I'm joining Kathleen for White Wednesday today. If you've never checked this MEME out before, you're going to want to RUN right over and take a little peek....right here.

Aren't those two of the cutest pitchers EVAH??? I bought them both on our recent trip to Bend, Oregon. The one on the left was from the GOODWILL! I KNOW! Isn't that just toooo wonderful? I am about 99% sure it's vintage. The bottom is as pretty as the rest of this little cutie. It has a wonderful pattern and is soft and worn which leads me to believe it's not a new piece. It has no markings whatsoever....darn it all. I paid less than five dollars for it and I'm CRAZY about it's shape. Cute AND cheap....could it get any BETTA?

The second pitcher came from my little visit at Camas Antique mall. DEEE.LISH.... Isn't she sweet? I LOVE it.

HOLY MOLY! I HAD to have that clock on the left... It's vintage celluloid.... I am nuts about it. We found it at a darling little shop called Pomegranate... I had to think about it for a few days. Now, remember I am one cheap chickie.....I LOVE thrifty finds and free is even better in my book. This was FIFTY dollars. YIKES......that's a VERY rare even for me....We always buy a little something special when we're there though....a little souvenir for our anniversary. I've never seen one before and knew if I went home without it I'd regret it forever. And, it actually works. WooooHoooo! The other little clock is from Camas Antiques too....the little, tiny pitcher on the left is from the Goodwill.... NINETY NINE cents. There's a little basket back there too, but it's hiding. ;-)

I bought a lot more and I'll be posting the pix soooooon.

The Hubbs is healing......getting better every day....but he's as cranky as all get out. I'll be glad when he's back to his old self.

I hope all is well with you sweet and wonderful girlies.

We had some REALLY big winds here in the Northwest last night.... Our power was off for 8 hours..... Brrrrrrrr.............and we had an earthquake this morning.... and yukky weather predicted for the next two days too..... HANG ON if you're in this area! :-)

Our very dear friend, Bobby, is having his heart surgery at 8 in the morning... Please remember him in your prayers.

God bless each of you.

Huggies and Lovies,
Spencer

Yipppppeee! It's The First Pink Saturday For Bellamere Cottage!

Thank you so much, Beverly, for letting me join your Pink Saturday party! I'm excited to be here.......I can't seem to add links, but please join all the other lovlies at www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com
You'll enjoy it!

The first picture is of my little pink Wade house. I used to collect them, but gave them all to my daughter........well...........except this little pink one. I just couldn't bear to give it up. :-)

A small shot of a dresser in the master bedroom. The lamp was originally brass......I think (to be honest, I don't remember for sure, but it was icky)....painted a pale petal pink and re-wired for safety. I have a thing for trays......one of them is peeking out from behind the lamp.....

As I've said........I LOVE vintage tole trays. This is one from my collection. It's a tiny one.......I think about 7 inches or so.

Oh yes! Pink knobs! I'd add them to everything if I could! They make everything cuter!

A bit of my bedside table. I LOVE that little lamp. I bought just the base at an antique store years ago and made it into the lamp.......it was hard to find a shade that would fit, but I'm determined and prevailed.

Our bedroom is pink and yellow......my very favorite color combination. It's just so happy!

That's my little grandson as a baby. That picture of him is just so sweet.........it makes my heart sing!

A center shot of one of my green tole trays. I couldn't get the darn thing to crop worth beans so I gave up and just did the center. I LOVE those roses! Aren't they so pretty? I wish I could go back in time and watch the artists paint them. They did such a good job. It's interesting how many were painted by the same artists.

I so hope you enjoyed my first Pink Saturday........PINK is my favorite color and when I think of my house I always think in pink, but when it came to photographing things it didn't seem so pink.....hmmmmmmm.........

I'm so glad you came! Thanks again, Beverly.

Have a wonderful weekend dear ones.

Wishing you abundant blessings!

Spencer

We have a teeny little hallway between our living room and bedroom at tiny Bellamere Cottage. I just have to adorn every single corner of this little house. I am NOT a minimalist! So, let's fill it on up! I bought this simply adorable NEST sign at Joyworks in Snohomish, WA. Joyworks is one of my all time favorite place to find cutsie home items. If you live in NW Washington, you've got to visit Historic Snohomish. It's delightful.......full of darling shops and antiques. Does it get any better than that?

I know, I just am NOT a photographer, but this is the full shot. I bought the gate years ago. It's one of my all time favorite things. Of course, I have tons of all time favorite things! :-) I love this piece because it fits anywhere without taking up any room. I was determined to decorate this tiny area, so I put a bookcase there originally. There is a closet to the right which allowed us to open that door about halfway. I knew it was tough, but I wanted that bookcase THERE! You know how determined we ladies can be. Finally, I just couldn't stand it anymore and was delighted when this idea came to me. It's perfect there and that silly closet is totally accessible now. Oh how happy Mr. Bellamere is.

As I've said......I make lots of things, but rug hooking continues to be a hurdle for me. Why can't I get it??? This is my very first piece. It is FABULOUS....ok, here's the truth. My darling friend, Jan, is champion rug hooker. I did the center flower (the lighter pink one). You'll recognize it. It's the homely one? Well, I had picked the flowers all around it out so many times there was little hope of having any burlap left on which to hook, so Jan took over and finished the piece for me so I could at least enjoy it. It's just great in this little spot and I LOVE it........well, all except that dang flower.......

Yes, I have said I'm NOT a photographer.....pardon the arm shadows! :-) I have a weakness for vintage pitchers. I don't even know how many I have, but PLENTY! I have "overstock" of quite a few and still bought another one last week....shhhhhhhhh.........don't tell my hubby!

More from my dear friend. She made me this darling little puppy for my birthday. I know it's hard to tell, but it is edged with black fringe. We both collect dog things and this little chair would be nothing without this sweet little pillow. It's one of my favorite things. See? I have too many favorite things.........

I got this little chair from my daughter. She had JUST had it recovered and left her purse sitting on it.............she had perfume in her purse............it leaked.............BIG STAIN. No problem.........I have a solution! So, this little ruffled slipcover was born. It covers the icky spot and matches my room............no need to take it in to have it recovered. Now, that's a money saver! I am a THRIFTY girl. :-)

The back. Like you wouldn't recognize it?

I took a snap of the light fixture in the hallway too, and I can't figure out why it didn't show up. For Pete's sake. I have been here for about two hours trying to get the pictures in the right order............I kept messing something up and had to start over. I have a couple of things I need to get done today, so I'll post the light fixture another time. I've been trying to replace all the original fixtures with cute old things and only have a few left to find.........

Have a wonderful, blessed day!
Spencer
